The permanently neutral country of Seires, composed of many lakes and mountains, is a scenic nation. Stasi made a jest about its population composition: "Our spies, enemy spies, loan sharks, mercenaries."
Contrary to the common perception of mercenaries as a disorderly mob, Seires mercenaries are not only the top cards amongst human kingdoms, but also the world's best infantry apart from the Wehrmacht. This army, which emerged from the poor mountains and harsh waters, far exceeds the conventional standing army in combat efficiency.
As a small nation sandwiched between Castile, Charlemagne, and Ymir, Seires has a strategic environment highly similar to Alfheim. They share a similar perception of security and defense. That is, by using diplomacy to navigate between the major powers, minimizing resentment. Simultaneously, they establish a small but elite armed force for limited deterrence.
