Lieutenant Wolf, the platoon instructor's booming voice and the flapping of the tent canvas happened simultaneously, and Mikhail immediately stood at attention and saluted.
"Lieutenant, what's the matter?"
Feeling guilty, the sergeant carefully inquired. After returning the salute, Lieutenant Wolf coughed and replied:
"Well, Lieutenant Carius has been transported to the rear by a medical train. Tomorrow morning, the new platoon leader will report for duty; be more spirited, everyone!"
