Dictatorship;
Democracy;
In most people's minds, these two systems are like winter and summer, water and fire, light and dark—absolutely opposed existences, never to be reconciled.
In fact, whether it is dictatorship or democracy, at the end of the day, it is just a form, a method of managing a country—like medicine, democracy is a slow-acting traditional medicine, while dictatorship is a potent drug with severe side effects. While these two "medicines" exist in opposition, they also foster each other.
When democratic regimes accumulate too many malpractices and society loses its vitality, people will long for a strong leader to sweep away the problems with an iron fist. When people feel they can no longer tolerate dictatorship, they will embrace democracy and cry out, "Everyone for me, and me for everyone."
