This was yet another off-kilter statement that conflicted with Li Lin's identity and, to be frank, was not only more provocative than the previous atheistic comments but also likely to lead to more serious consequences, with a hint of dark humor to boot.
Working under a deity with obvious control-freak tendencies, she was equally a control freak herself—indeed, in their hands, no uncertain variables were ever allowed. Everything had to be as clear and definite as threads on a screw. Roll the dice? Such uncertain random events would never occur to him.
However, comparing oneself to a deity—this attitude was hardly pleasant.
