When it came to Lutèce, most people would think of a miraculous city composed of splendid buildings, a symbol of culture and art, the pearl on humanity's crown of civilization. What most did not know, or pretended not to know after finding out—beneath the glamorous façade, there was another Lutèce.
The Lutèce underground sewers.
When the old city district was being remodeled, the consortium not only built the beautiful city aboveground but also significantly expanded the underground sewer system, its area almost equivalent to the land surface of Lutèce.
"When they built the underground sewers, the consortium constructed numerous secret passages, which mainly served two purposes. One was to secretly transport personnel and supplies, and could even allow troops to attack Lutèce directly from beneath if necessary; the second was to diffuse various psychoactive drugs, to collect data, and to ensure the spread channels and other uses were secured."
