What is diplomacy?
Diplomacy is politics, it is an art, a profound discipline, and business between nations. Stripped of its magnificent veneer, diplomacy highly resembles commercial negotiation; both are exchanges of interests, equally well-dressed, scheming, deceitful, and cloaked in righteous elegance, dancing a waltz to the tune of the orchestra.
So, even if they were enemies at war, wouldn't it seem reasonable to arrange for the diplomatic delegations of the warring parties to stay in the same hotel?
In fact, it wasn't a wise decision at all, or rather, it was a terrible one.
Representatives from Alfheim and Charlemagne were very punctual—a good habit—but due to the carelessness of Ceres, not only did both parties check into the Feisha Hotel, but their schedules were exactly the same.
Thus, like two trains colliding head-on, the two parties inevitably collided in the hotel's lobby.
