After Alfheim emerged as a nation, its geopolitical position, surrounded by many unfriendly countries in what became known as the 'Four-War Zone,' exacerbated their insecurity instead of alleviating it. Elves' perpetual nightmare was the prospect of being squeezed by powerful Western and Eastern forces in the heart of the continent.
