The cloth shoes made a rustling sound as they rubbed against the meticulously polished floor, the solemn breaths following rhythmically with each step downwards.
"How is the investigation going?"
Walking in the middle of the queue, the middle-aged man wearing a triple crown asked softly. Even though he was asking a question, he wasn't looking at anyone in particular; the guide in front, the attendants and subordinates behind him, and the finely carved sculptures on both sides of the corridor, as well as the guards bowing their heads in salute, none of these entered the man's field of vision.
No one was dissatisfied or doubtful about this.
As the leader of an organization, and a great man with grand goals waiting to be achieved, his sight shouldn't be tangled with irrelevant trivialities. He must see further than others, focusing more on opportunities that ordinary people are unable to perceive.
