Desire is the source of life.
Dejir believed this without a doubt, thinking that desire was the most fundamental foundation of life. Without desire, life could not even continue or maintain itself, let alone create civilization or seek higher realms.
With this as the keynote, all forms of asceticism, especially those of Puritans, ascetics, and cynics, were in Dejir's eyes nothing but seductive ideologue criminals, evil terrorists trying to deny life from its roots. The only suitable place for such people was one—after being convicted by the people's court, hanged on the gallows with piano wire, and slowly and painfully dying like an animal on a meat hook.
To be faithful to desire, to comply with desire, that was all there was to Dejir.
