Stopping her hand, the girl turned her face and looked at Lafayette, whose expression was one of someone with something to say yet hesitating, covering her forehead as if she had realized something.
"Ah, sorry. I forgot, your company commanders aren't easy to talk to, typical of the army... Just forget what I said earlier."
"Thank you very much, Captain."
Relieved, Lafayette turned his attention back to the notebook in the girl's hands, those mysterious lines and symbols stirring his curiosity. Possibly because of the navy captain's approachability, Lafayette's facade softened.
"Captain, how did you know where the opposing troops are from?"
