But everything has two sides, and so-called "devotion" is no different.
Not allowing any action that denies faith, not allowing behavior that violates doctrine, not allowing words that insult beliefs, no matter how trivial the matter—this too is an act of "devotion."
The Church is the Agent of divine authority on Earth, believing themselves to be apostles of God, and therefore, their actions are absolutely correct. Those who defy the Church are heretics, beings that deserve destruction.
They truly believe this and act accordingly.
Without doubt, they have stopped thinking for themselves.
