It is precisely because we understand how cruel reality can be that we yearn for change. A "better future" should be an improvement over the present, not one maintained through the suppression of human nature, by manipulating conflicts and adjusting stances.
Merely talking about "someday," "someday" indeed will never arrive. But if we hold on to a sliver of hope and strive forward step by step, bit by bit, then maybe the possibility is not entirely zero.
