"The enemy ship has been hit and is turning around!"
The communications soldier loudly repeated, and Colonel Shipei put down his binoculars.
Anyone could see that the strangely shaped airship had fallen into a state where it could no longer be steered, and was now spinning with inertia. At this point in the battle, as long as the enemy ship's commander wasn't mentally deranged or brain-damaged from the bombardment, they should have realized the overwhelming disparity in firepower. Any tricks or stubborn resistance were just self-inflicted hardships.
Broadside rotation for a salvo? Turning around for a suicidal charge? If that captain harbored such unrealistic thoughts, the 280mm naval guns would teach him how to think correctly.
"That being said..."
Gazing at the distant smoke-rising boat, Shipei let out a sigh-like murmur.
"They are more tenacious than expected. If our forces were in the same situation, outgunned and outnumbered, could we hold on just the same?"
