Roland nodded his head. He undoubtedly agreed with that point.
But the content that followed was hard for him to readily agree with.
"Good or bad, people are pragmatic."
The public reacted only to the situation at hand. They cooperated not because they revered a person named "Roland," or because they understood and agreed with Roland's ideas. They were simply satisfied with their current lives, focusing their energy on making money, with no spare time to think about rebellion.
"With the foundation of rule still unsteady and public recognition of the government low, it would only take a minor opportunity for everything that has been built to collapse. The special zone would revert to its original state, or even worse."

After pondering for a moment, Roland replied softly.
Li Lin was undoubtedly reminding him, although his words were as sharp as ever.
