Based on future strategic conception and historical evidence, after founding an independent nation, Alfheim required the newborn Charlemagne to not only be friendly with the Elf Camp, but also to maintain a distance from potential enemies in the future. However, given human traditions and character, it was hard to imagine a Charlemagne that would not only make the Elves feel their friendship was reliable but also one that was formed by humans—ruled by a regent Princess, and at the same time, adopting an open stance towards other countries. Minerva might be able to achieve this, but there were many obstacles before she could become the regent.
