In some legends, demons dwelling in the Dark Abyss answer the wishes of humans.
"Whether it be revenge, revival of your family, or the establishment of a new order—all these, assuming they don't undermine overall interests, will eventually come true. In comparison, annihilating a mere count is but a trifling matter."
Human desires are nothing but trivialities in the eyes of demons. With a disdainful and arrogant smile, the demon tempts the supplicant.
"All the wealth, status, honor, and even the books that the Count has accumulated till now—of course, the real ones without 'conceptual camouflage'—all of these will be yours. Trampling over your enemy's head, tasting the thrill of plundering from the one who once plundered from you, it wouldn't be impossible to use this as a stepping stone to a higher position."
