As they entered the room, the crew marveled at the countless fish tanks filled with unique sky fishes from Sky Island, creating a vibrant, underwater atmosphere. It was as if they'd stepped right into the ocean. Beyond the fish tanks, there were areas dedicated to cultivating vegetables and fruits, packed with everything they could possibly want. When they reached the livestock area, everyone exchanged amazed looks—this ship truly had it all. Now, even on their long journey to the Moon, they'd have access to fresh ingredients.
It was clear these spaces had been meticulously crafted for Sanji, who only had to keep Luffy's sticky fingers away from the goods.
On the third floor, they explored rooms designed for each member's needs: a chart room for Nami to meticulously map their journey, a medical lab for Chopper's experiments with herbs and elixirs, a workshop for Usopp and Franky's inventions, a storage area, and even a library filled with Robin's vast collection of books. This floor was more than a workspace—it was a place where each of them could fully immerse themselves in their passions.
The fourth floor, simpler in design, was reserved for the captain's cabin and helm at its center. Surrounding it was a massive observation deck that offered a sweeping view—the best on the ship.
Finally, they reached the top floor, which held the room that meant the most to Luffy: the restaurant! With the size of a grand banquet hall, the dining area boasted sections for sit-down meals, buffet spreads, and even a performance hall large enough to host a full concert. Bai Ye, upon seeing the concert hall, couldn't help but think of a certain musician skeleton who would undoubtedly be thrilled with the setup.
These five floors housed all the facilities above deck, yet beneath them lay even more to discover.
Below deck, the Straw Hats explored even more surprises starting with the energy room, designed to convert energy into power and keep their journey running smoothly. But the highlight was Franky's Soldier Dock System—a clever setup similar to the one from the original story line but now on an entirely new level.
Dock No. 1 held the Waver, upgraded and refined by Bai Ye. This speedy vehicle allowed anyone in the crew to venture out on solo missions. Next, in Dock No. 2 was the Mini Merry, a six-seater steamship that brought a wave of nostalgia. Franky had crafted it with parts from the original Golden Merry, preserving the iconic goat's head, which made everyone smile.
Dock No. 3 held a shark-shaped submarine Franky had engineered. Equipped with periscopes and Den Den Mushis, it could carry four crew members on underwater explorations. Dock No. 4 and Dock No. 5 each stored Franky's unique island vehicles, both built to seat three people and tackle any terrain they might encounter.
And, of course, the Merry wouldn't be complete without firepower. Franky had installed his signature cannon, enhancing the ship's defenses.
As everyone gathered, Franky suggested, "Instead of calling it Super Merry, let's give it a name that truly reflects its strength and spirit."
Luffy's hand shot up immediately, his grin wide. "I got it! Let's call it… Lion Thunder Beast! Sounds strong, right?"
Usopp groaned, throwing his hands up. "Lion Thunder Beast? That sounds like a beast, not a ship! And where's 'Merry' in all of that?"
"Oh, right," Luffy said, scratching his head. "Fine! How about… Tiger Kick Merry?"
Usopp slumped with a sigh. "You're just mashing random animals with moves now!"
Luffy thought hard, a look of determination crossing his face. "Okay, okay, got it! Rocket Lion Merry!"
Usopp blinked, then sighed again. "Of course. Why do I even try?"
Sanji stepped in, his tone more thoughtful. "What about Sunflower Merry? It's bright, and it's got character."
Usopp's eyes lit up. "Finally, something that sounds… reasonable."
Zoro rubbed his chin, joining in. "What about Lionheart Merry? It's got the strength of a lion and the spirit of Merry."
"That actually sounds… kinda cool," Usopp admitted, nodding approvingly.
Robin, smiling mischievously, suggested, "Or maybe Dark Merry?"
"No way!" Usopp shuddered, picturing something eerie.
Franky, laughing loudly with his hands on his hips, declared, "Let me handle this, amateurs! How about Lion Champion Merry!"
Nami and Chopper chimed in with their own idea, "What about Sunshine Merry?"
Everyone paused, considering the name. Usopp nodded thoughtfully. "Now that has a nice ring to it."
"Way better than Lion Thunder Beast, right?" Luffy laughed, giving a thumbs-up.
Franky shrugged. "But Lion Champion Merry was a strong contender!"
"Then it's settled!" Zoro agreed, leaning back with a grin.
And with that, they all joined hands, cheering together as they declared the new ship's name: Sunshine Merry!
With everyone's enthusiastic agreement, Sunshine Merry officially became the new name of the Straw Hat Pirates' ship. With that settled, there was only one thing left to do.
Standing proudly at the prow of the ship, Luffy spread his arms wide and shouted, "Then, let's set sail for the Moon! Everyone!"
The crew responded in unison, voices full of excitement, "Aye, aye, Captain!"
Rumble~~~
With a powerful roar, Sunshine Merry, now in its sky mode, surged forward, lifting off from the Sky Island. With engines blazing, it soared upwards, breaking through clouds as it sped toward the vast unknown of the sky and beyond.
