Stainless stood before the Straw Hat Pirates, exuding confidence and a hint of disdain as he waited for their decision. The situation was tense, with the Pirates seemingly cornered and facing the prospect of arrest.
Sanji, visibly shaken by the predicament, lit a cigarette with trembling hands. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves, and remarked with a sense of resignation, "It looks like we're going to be arrested this time."
Zoro, his gaze fixed on Stainless, displayed a look of frustration and defiance. "SHIT!" he muttered, clearly unwilling to accept the situation lying down.
Nami, Usopp, and Chopper, often the more cautious members of the crew, felt a sense of despair. They huddled together, their emotions overflowing as they embraced and cried, confronted with the gravity of their predicament.
Luffy, despite his swollen face, grinned defiantly and stared directly at Stainless. With a determined look, he challenged the Vice Admiral. "Stop rambling, I'll blow you away!! Forget about apprehending us and taking us to the city."
Bai Ye, who had been knocked to the ground, slowly rose to his feet, wiping away the blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. Despite the seemingly hopeless situation, he remained undaunted. "How could the adventure of the Straw Hat Pirates end here?" he declared, his words reflecting the unyielding spirit of the crew.
Then, with a sudden grin, Bai Ye addressed Stainless directly, "Excuse me, can you stay with me for a while? Mr. Vice Admiral?"
Bai Ye, in a bold and desperate move, stepped forward and pressed his hands against the ground, yelling out his technique. "Gen Hexagram - Overturning the Mountain!!" With a vigorous lift of his hands, a massive rock mountain, nearly twenty meters high and composed of extremely thick rocks, rose up from the battlefield.
Stainless watched, initially amused by Bai Ye's tactic. He didn't need to use his Observation Haki to understand Bai Ye's intention. "Do you want to block me to run away? It is pointless," Stainless remarked, readying his katana for a decisive strike.
However, before Stainless could act, Bai Ye launched another technique. "Zhen Gua - Luminous Thunder!!" A thick thunderbolt descended from the sky, striking the mountain with immense force.
RUMBLE!!
The thunder, carrying ultimate attack power, bombarded the rocks, causing them to crack and eventually shatter. BOOM!! The once-solid mountain of stones crumbled, breaking into boulders that flew into the air.
Both Stainless and the Straw Hats looked on, somewhat bewildered by the unfolding events. Bai Ye, however, remained focused and serious. He quickly followed up with another technique.
"Li Gua - Explosive Flame!"
A dazzling flame erupted in front of him, instantly enveloping the airborne rubble. The intense heat generated by the flames distorted the air around them, causing the rocks, already weakened by the thunder, to begin melting under the scorching temperature.
In mere moments, the boulders transformed into hot lava wrapped in flames. Stainless's demeanor shifted from amusement to seriousness. He involuntarily clenched his sword, his attention fully captured by Bai Ye's display of power.
Bai Ye, with bloodshot eyes and relentless determination to defy the odds, shifted his technique once again. "Xun Gua - Tornado!!" he called out, and a howling wind instantly arose. The lava, still wrapped in scorching flames, was caught in the hurricane's grip and propelled skyward. As the lava ascended to its highest point, the violent flames not only lit up the entire sky but also caused the clouds to disperse dramatically, as if being torn apart, drastically transforming the sky!
For the first time, Stainless's face registered shock. The spectacle unfolding before him bore a striking resemblance to Akainu's notorious moves.
Bai Ye, channeling his energy and determination, let out a low growl. He pressed his hands into the air and swung them down sharply. Utilizing his mastery of Qimen techniques, Bai Ye astonishingly replicated one of Admiral Akainu's formidable attacks - Meteor Volcano - right there on the battlefield! Lava poured down from the sky like a mighty waterfall, creating a breathtaking and powerful spectacle that filled the air.
Simultaneously, Bai Ye experienced a sudden and intense moment of pain, which caused him to spit out a mouthful of blood. Following this, the numerous wounds on his body, previously inflicted by Stainless, reopened. Blood started to flow freely from these reopened wounds, drenching Bai Ye's Daoist robe in red. Within a brief period, Bai Ye's appearance transformed dramatically as he became covered in blood. This intense loss of blood brought him to the brink of losing consciousness, leaving him on the verge of fainting.
Qimen uses Qi, an energy force, to create a unique formation on the ground. This pattern is quite mysterious and is laid out in a specific area under his feet. Depending on the direction user chooses, he can activate one of the eight specific diagrams from the Qimen Technique. These diagrams are interconnected and require skill and practice to master.
With enough practice, a person can become adept at using these formations. They would be able to switch effortlessly between any of the eight diagrams at will. However, Bai Ye struggles to use even the basic combination of the Qian and Kun Diagrams from the Qimen Technique. As a result, he cannot use the technique effectively.
Using the Qimen Technique incorrectly can have serious consequences. If someone does not follow the proper methods and tries to force the use of these techniques, the diagrams may not align properly. They could even work against each other, creating a dangerous backlash that harms the person using them.
In past battles, Bai Ye had to restrict himself to using just one type of diagram at a time. This limitation was due to the potential risks involved. However, in the current situation Bai Ye had no choice but to use the formation forcefully, despite the dangers.
The Straw Hat crew, witnessing Bai Ye in a state they had never seen before, were filled with deep concern. "Bai Ye!!" they exclaimed together, their voices tinged with worry.
Luffy, whose eyes widened in shock, felt a piercing pain in his heart as he saw Bai Ye vomit blood. In all their past challenges, Bai Ye had always been the one to effortlessly solve problems with a warm smile. But now, the situation was starkly different, and for the first time, Luffy felt a sense of powerlessness and anguish.
Zoro and Sanji, too, wore expressions of worry. They blamed themselves, feeling inadequate as combatants on board for not being able to assist their deputy captain in his time of need.
Nami, Usopp, and Chopper, typically more cautious and reserved, also felt a surge of concern upon seeing Bai Ye's condition. Despite their usual timidity, they desperately wanted to do something to help.
Meanwhile, Bai Ye, oblivious to his crew's reactions, focused solely on his immediate situation. He bit into a Healing Pill, feeling its aura work to repair some of his injuries. Slowly, he stood up and turned to face Stainless.
Stainless was confronting the Bai Ye version of Meteor Volcano, an attack with immense coverage and destructive power. Bai Ye knew that if Kizaru were here, he could easily evade the attack with his light-speed movements and counter the lava with his light powers. Similarly, Aokiji, with his Ice-Ice Fruit abilities, could effortlessly handle such an attack by freezing the lava. But Stainless was neither Kizaru nor Aokiji, and that made the situation markedly different.
Stainless, faced with a critical decision, realized he could retreat from the lava attack, but he was also acutely aware of the consequences. This wasn't a deserted island, but a bustling port city on a populous island. If he allowed the lava to reach the ground, the impact on the people living there would be catastrophic. Determined to prevent such a disaster, Stainless resolved to deal with the threat in the air.
With this in mind, he utilized Rokushiki – Moonwalk to move towards the lava in the air. His sword, enveloped in Haki, was poised for action. With a fierce slash, he aimed at the nearest lava, his resolve evident in his shout, "Break for me!"
Meanwhile, Bai Ye, seeing Stainless's intervention, felt a moment of relief. He crushed another Healing Pill and turned to face Luffy and the rest of the crew. Despite his injuries and the intense situation, Bai Ye managed a smile. "Isn't my trick just now super cool! Hahaha," he said, trying to lighten the mood.
Luffy, overcome with emotion, suddenly embraced Bai Ye tightly, tears and snot streaming down his face. He didn't say a word but simply looked at Bai Ye, his actions speaking volumes about his relief and concern.
Bai Ye, initially taken aback by the hug, slowly softened his expression. He spoke helplessly, "Really, I can't hug you right now, Captain." He then jokingly added, "So, please... Back up from me, you bastard!!"
P.S Earlier, I made a mistake and mistranslated the guy in the yellow suit. But now I've corrected it and it should be fine.
