After that awful date, Saturday was finally here and I decided to call up my friend Brooke. Calling up my friend Brooke I say "Let's go out and have some fun for a bit. " She's totally down with it but her boyfriend just came in town and long-distance relationships are tough so I'm like he can come no prob. She tells me " Well Collin and I wanted to go to the bar and I know you're not into that kinda stuff." I say "Yeah but I can be your designated driver, while y'all have fun drinking and dancing, I'll just chill at the bar and read a book. I seriously just need out of the house." She is like alright. As I'm getting into my vehicle, Logan pulls up. He gets out and comes to my door before I can shut it. He asks me where I'm going so I tell him. He looks at me with worried eyes and just says be careful. Of course, I say okay and leave.
Finally, I arrive at Brooke's place picking her and Collin up. We go grab something to eat at Taco Mama. Mexican food and drinking just kinda go together in my book. Afterward, we hit up Riley's Tavern. Live music, karaoke, pool, and dancing, are such a fun place to be. As we walk in, I notice the bartender it's Gregory Stritz (aka Greg). We went to school together middle - high school, and we were friends. We greet each other and ask each other how you been, how's the family, etc. Then he's like alright what do you guys want to drink? Brooke goes first ordering her Vodka tonic, Collin gets Whiskey on the rocks, and I get a beer since I'm driving. As Brooke and Collin finish their first drink. They go out to the dance floor having the time of their lives. I'm sitting at the end of the bar with my back at the wall enjoying reading a light novel called Eighty-Six. Every now and then I'll talk to Greg if he doesn't have to attend to a customer. While I'm reading I catch a glimpse of something in the corner of my eye. Someone's using part of the bar for a photoshoot. It looks cool but to be fair my novel was more interesting to me than someone doing poses for a camera.
Going back to my book, some guy comes up tapping me on the shoulder saying excuse me can I ask you something. Looking up to see him my eyes go wide. This has got to be the most handsome man I've ever seen. He had such tan skin, black hair, and such beautiful brown eyes that had a hint of gold in them. I say " What can I help you with?" He says " We are doing a photoshoot and I was wondering.." Before he can finish I interrupt " Oh you want me to move that's no problem." He looks at me with a smile and says " No that's not it. Our female model can't make it so can you.." Interrupting him again I say " Oh you need help picking a replacement haha I can do that. Let's see that girl over there in the corner is tall with a good figure but she's too tall for your height and she's way too tipsy.. but that girl standing by the stage she's a little shorter than you, has a great figure and beautiful long curly hair." He stops me and says " No no, I want you to do the photoshoot with me." Looking at him my jaw drops, thinking this dude must be crazy I ain't a model. I mean I don't think I'm even that good-looking.
Finally, releasing I haven't said a word I respond " I'm not a model material type person and I'm not that pretty. Can't you just pick someone else?" He just smiles at me saying " I want you to do it. You are beautiful even if you can't see it I can. Besides you have this light that just sticks out so brightly I can't ignore it. We also have a time limit so please." I mean after that how can you say no, right? Looking at him I can see the desperation in his eyes. I asked a question " What's this photoshoot for anyway" He said it was for a novel called " The Silent Alpha by Stephanie Light", the author wanted some photos to put in the book for some scenes. You don't have to worry about your face if you're camera shy. Your face won't really be visible."My eyes go big!! Are you serious?! Responding back " Are you for real?! I love that novel! The author has such a great writing style and really captures your attention in the story. I literally bought the chapters and read them as she published the story. I heard it was finally getting a paperback and hardcover so I am waiting to buy the book instead of staring at my tablet, phone, and computer to read it cause it hurts my eyes to stare at the screen for so long and the book is way too good to stop reading."
He has this big smile on his face while listening to me ramble on and on about this beautiful novel. I apologize and decided to help since it is one of my favorite novels. He says " Well, since we'll be working together, my name is Zac. What's yours?" I reply " My name is Annmera, It's nice to meet you, Zac." He goes to the photographer saying " I found the girl I want in the photoshoot". The Photographer/Director looks me up and down with a like Are you serious her face. The guy opens his mouth saying "Are you sure about her. What about that girl over there with the curly hair?" ( Seriously I said that too but dude wouldn't take her thinking to myself ) Zac says " No I want Annmera to do it. If it's not her I'm not doing it." Shaking his head the photographer/director was like okay whatever. He pulls Zac and I to the wall. Looking confused, Zac says " I'm gonna have to pick you up is that gonna be okay?" Replying to him "Umm yeah that's okay." He lifts me up and pins me against the wall. My breath literally stops and my eyes go wide. He sees my reaction and ask if I'm okay. I just nodded my head. His face comes closer to mine and I'm turning bright tomato red. All he does is smile at me.
The photographer tells me to put one of my hands in Zac's hair and the other grabbing and pulling him close to me. Literally turning redder, I take a deep breath and nod. We're so close and my heart is racing faster than before. Zac notices and whispers softly in my ear " It's okay just breathe, I'll help you through this." He is so sweet, I relax in his arms. He's very muscular with such a toned body, I feel safe with him. It's really weird cause I just met him but it's like I'm at peace and he's got that vibe Logan has in a way. The next pose was us kissing. We didn't really kiss we just had our faces close and our heads were at an angle but the photographer says it has to be real now. He wasn't satisfied yet with the photo. I go pale.. w-w-what I have to kiss him. I don't know what to do. Is Zac really gonna be my first kiss??? What if I'm not a good kisser? This is so embarrassing.
Noticing my pale face, Zac says " Are you okay? If you're uncomfortable it's totally fine." I lean forward whispering in his ear " I've never kissed anyone so I'm really nervous plus what if I'm bad at it." His eyes widen. Leaning forward he says " Are you serious? If you want to stop here that's fine but I'm with you so I'll help guide you through it. Only if you're okay with it." His eyes were shining. " You promise you'll help me through this? If I'm bad I'm sorry" I reply. He nods. Alright, I can't believe I'm doing this but let's go. Looking into each other's eyes, my heart is beating so fast, my face is beat red, and I have this lump in my throat. Drawing close to each other without losing eye contact our lips meet. A spark ignited and he tasted so sweet, the kiss deepened and it felt so good. When we broke apart I was kinda disappointed. Zac's eyes are still lingering on me. Asking him what's wrong he says "Was that really your first kiss?" I just look at him confused "Yeah it's my first kiss. Was it really that bad? I'm sorry." His face turns red and he looks so adorable that I just smile. He says softly " No it was really good. I didn't want to stop if I'm being honest, it felt good." I'm so embarrassed!! Did he seriously just say that to me?! I put my face in the palm of my hands blushing.
