The ruler of the Arcane Realms, King Aric, leaned forward, studying the newcomers with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion. His attire was resplendent, adorned with gemstones that glittered like stars, and a crown that seemed to be made of woven light. His long white beard cascaded to the floor.
Beck stepped forward, her sword sheathed, and attempted to convey their situation in gestures. King Aric, though not understanding the soldiers' language, seemed to grasp the urgency of their predicament. He spoke to Sorin in the arcane language, and Sorin began translating.
"King Aric acknowledges your presence and the extraordinary circumstances of your arrival," Sorin said. "He offers you his protection and guidance while you seek a way back to your world."
Beck and her team exchanged relieved glances. It was clear that King Aric held a key to their return home. They had found allies in this strange world, and their quest was set.
The soldiers were ushered into comfortable quarters within the castle, provided with clothing suitable for the Arcane Realms, and invited to dine in a grand hall where they tasted exquisite dishes infused with magical flavors.
