After stepping out of the tent, Leon walked at a rhythmic pace, slowly reaching the front of the Undergod River. There he stood in a long silence, one filled with a sense of tranquility and dread.
"Are you serious?" A voice sounded from behind Leon as a figure much taller than him with broader shoulders appeared.
They were at a crossroads, but both options on the table were undesirable to Leon. He would not abandon his ambitions for the mediocrity of just following orders. This was not something his heart could bear.
"Of course I am. It won't be long before the entire thing blows up in the region. I might as well start," Leon said while looking forward.
