Larisa stood in her tent looking at the two riding suits that Lifar had prepared for her, she glided her hand on the blue and yellow suit, the yellow was so vibrant and gave off a sunny feeling, she then observed the red and black one. After a mental battle, she carefully packed up the blue and yellow one and put on the red and black.
It was now afternoon, all the burnt sacrifices had already been offered in the morning which was followed by a feast. Now it was time for hunting, Larisa doesn't know how to hunt but she does enjoy horse riding.
She caressed her horse's head with a smile on her face. "Light rash, did you miss me?" she softly cued at the brown horse.
It neighed in response. She smoothly got on the horse, she lightly kicked its sides and it started to gallop at a slow and steady speed. Another brown horse came to gallop beside her, Larisa glanced at Selah before looking forward again.
"Does Princess like horse riding," Selah started to strike up a conversation.
"Yes, it's one of the few hobbies I have," Larisa answered enthusiastically.
"What other hobbies does the princess have,"
"Not much really, just reading and horse riding."
"That's nice," Selah said absentmindedly, it seems the princess doesn't trust her yet, she clearly remembers that the princess was able to fight very skilfully in her past life. You don't reach that level of martial arts without practicing for years.
"Greetings Princess," Said two voices in unison as two horses caught up with Larisa and Selah.
Sapphire and Julia took position on either side of Selah and Larisa. Julia who was beside Larisa gave an eye signal to her sister Sapphire who was beside Selah. Sapphire discretely nodded to her sister and hid a needle between her fingers.
"Who might you two be," Larisa asked hoping she didn't sound rude.
"Princess, I am Julia Wormwood and that over there is Sapphire Wormwood, we are Selah's sisters." Julia introduced while clenching her hands on the rein in her hands as she forced a smile through her fear of the demon eyes looking at her, which normal person has such eyes.
"Oh! So you are Selah's sisters, it must be nice to have sisters."
Selah inwardly scoffed, where was it nice, clearly it was a curse to have these types of sisters.
"Hahaha, it is nice." Julia nervously laughed as she glanced at Sapphire and signalled her to hurry up.
Sapphire nodded her head and she started to maneuver her horse to get behind but closer to Selah's so she can jab the needle into her horse which will make the horse go crazy, hopefully it will drop her and proceed to trample her to death, Sapphire thought with a sinister smirk on her lips. That will teach this wannabe for ruining her hair.
Selah seeing the deranged smirk on Sapphire's face as she stealthily moved her horse behind her's, immediately knew she was up to no good. She lightly kicked her horse to go a bit faster and away from Sapphire. Sapphire must be planning to bump into her horse with her own and put on some drama again.
Sapphire being too absorbed in her own fantasies didn't notice Selah's horse moving away, since both Selah and Larisa's horses were brown she ended up sticking the needle into Larisa's horse instead.
The horse neighed very loudly as it raised its front legs off the ground scaring Larisa as she tightly held the reins trying to calm it down but to no avail. The horse started to run like crazy in the direction of the thick forest.
The horse soon sprinted into the forest, Larisa kept calling its name to calm it down but it didn't help much. Amidst the constant whipping she got from the tree branches and leaves, she could hear the beating of hooves coming in her direction. Someone was coming to save her.
She couldn't hold on long enough to wait for whoever was coming to save her though, she breathed in and as soon as the chance presented itself, she grabbed hold of a tree branch and the horse kept on moving leaving her behind hanging in the tree.
Her grip on the branch soon loosened and she fell to the ground with a thud. When she tried to stand up, slight pain came from her ankle leaving her leg numb. Pulling up her dress she found a gush on the side of her leg slowly oozing blood and her ankle was red and bending the wrong way.
A horse stopped in-front of her and Dario quickly got off the horse and squatted beside be observing her wound and broken ankle with scrunched up brows. He didn't dare imagine how much pain she must be going through.
"Is…is it very painful?" Dario asked in a shaky voice while he hesitated to touch her ankle to check it.
Larisa shook her head. Compared to how she feels when she takes medicine, this is really nothing, it was painful, yes, But not painful enough to make her writhe in agony. But it was a first seeing worry on the ever serious face of her brother, she had always just assumed that he treats her with politeness like his mother, Consort Ari.
"Come on, I will carry you back, tell me if you feel uncomfortable," He said as he carefully put one of his arms under her knees and the other on her back and picked her up as gently as possible.
He turned to walk back to the camp site, Larisa looked behind him at the place she had fallen and she held clenched her hands on her dress in terror. Dario mistook it that she felt uncomfortable and stopped walking.
"Is it uncomfortable?" He asked worriedly.
Larisa shook her head and Dario continued walking after making sure she was really fine.
He left his horse behind since Larisa's ankle couldn't handle the movement of a horse.
Larisa warily looked back at the now grey grass that spread on the area she had fallen and went into deep thought.
