Kiyona's POV
The next place we went is a hospital somewhere in the southeast station of the Musashi-Shiraishi station. When we arrived there, it was deserted, as if the evacuation had reached outside of Kawasaki. We cleared the hallways for any zombies. So far, we spotted no zombies, much to our relief.
And then, we heard a female voice screaming at us, as she wants to get our attention.
When we turned around, we saw that it was Nanon, my older sister.
"Onee-san!" I responded back.
"Onee-san?" Asato asked me.
"That's my older sister."
Then, Nanon sees Gen, and she gets terrified, pointing her weapon, a baseball bat, at him because she sees him as a zombie.
"Stay back, Gen-san!" she shouted.
While Gen didn't move, Asato and Reina became defensive of him.
"Woah, calm down!"
"What are you doing?" Nanon responded to this.
"He's not gonna bite you or something!" Reina tried to persuade her.
"Yeah, trust us!" Asato added.
Then, I decided to intervene, too. "Look, big sis, he's not attacking humans anymore. Just calm down and put down your weapon, okay?"
Eventually, seeing that Gen was not attacking or anything, Nanon, though skeptical, puts her weapon down. "Okay then."
After that, we all went to a ward at the third floor so Nanon would tell us what had happened.
There she revealed to us what had happened to Gen prior to the outbreak. It was revealed that Gen had sent her home a few days before the outbreak had happened while he was not okay and was very unstable and physically and mentally. At this point, my party, except for Gen himself, are very stunned at her account, and Gen just confirmed it as true. Because of this, Asato considered that act as a safety measure for Nanon, much to her bewilderment at that detective-style deducing. I then explained to her that he wanted to be a detective.
And then, after that, Nanon shared to us some of Gen's secrets, including some of elements of his childhood. Because of this, we became more sympathetic to Gen than ever. But, I wondered how my cousin doing all this time.
