Scarab was chained to a pillar seated on the floor he groaned and lifted his head up looking around. "My head…is killing me" he whispered. He looked down and felt the needle gone from his shoulder. It was also bandaged. His weapons were gone and he was isolated from the outside. Across from him was a fire and the Red Demon was sitting by it. Smiling came in and sat at the fire as well. "Morning" Smiling addressed Scarab. "You bandaged me up?" He asked. Red Demon nodded, "Till you awoke. I'll give you a recovery pill after I talk to your boss. We're allies, but I had to introduce myself" Scarab scowled. "Your knights who serve the Sword King?" Scarab spit at the ground. Red Demon chuckled, "Yeah your way off. We are not affiliated with the Sword King. We merely stumbled upon you when we were tracking the knights that came through the gate when we did" Scarab's eyes widened. "Well looks like we both made mistakes" Scarab looked down. "No. I would have done what you did" Smiling interrupted. "Then who the hell are you guys?" Scarab asked.
"I'm the King Slayer and this is my companion. I am Red Demon and this is Smiling Demon" Scarab's jaw dropped. "No? The Slayer we heard was missing or killed after being trapped on the Ash Realm? Which we also heard fell" Red Demon nodded. "That's true it did fall. Something much worse is coming. Something that will affect all realms if we don't stop it" Scarab now had the look of concern. "Something worse than this civil war? This current king I live under?" He began to chuckle and then met Red Demon's eyes. He saw them both staring at him with serious and cold stares. "Seriously? Worse than all that?" He asked, realizing the severity of this situation.
They all then paused and looked towards the direction of the entrance to the building. Two white lines were then carved into the doors and the door then split into pieces. Standing there was Sun Demon glowing bright white and pointing her spear. "Give back my man there and I'll kill you both quickly?"
Red Demon stood front in center while Smiling stayed by Scarab. "Sorry for the theatrics figured this would get your attention more?" Red Demon kept his hands up. "I merely want to talk. Your man will be healed by a recovery pill, you have my word. We roughed him up only because we had a misunderstanding" Sun Demon's aura became stronger. This didn't phase Red Demon. He was a Titan rank now. 'She must be on the cusp of Rank Five?' He thought.
She then shot forward and was met by a faster opponent. At the last second Red Demon cocked his head to the side missing the spear head. He then grabbed the weapon and kicked Sun Demon releasing her grip from it. Red Demon spun it about and then drove it into the ground. "I'd rather we talk? Can you sit still for five minutes?" He began to chastise her. "Who the fuck are you two?! What is this!" Sun Demon was perplexed by his unwillingness to fight. She felt truly confused and awkward. She looked at Scarab who nodded, "he's the King Slayer. Sun he came to recruit you. What he said was true, this was a misunderstanding" Scarab explained. "The army! Sun there's an army outside the walls of the city! God, I'm just now remembering that? You must have hit my head hard" he was annoyed and bitter, staring at Smiling who merely shrugged.
"Ah yeah we saw them coming in. Followed two knights your boy dispatched them" Sun's demeanor relaxed. "So what? You're looking for help on killing the king, aren't you?" She crossed her arms. "Sure that would be most helpful yes. But I also need you for something else?" Sun Demon cocked her head to the side. "We were brought here by Sister Spinner" Red Demon paused. 'How the hell to word this next part?' Sun Demon sighed. "Who is that?" She then walked over to her spear and yanked it out. She and Red Demon stared at one another. "She is the Primordial that oversees Fate. She gave four Threads of Necessities that are linked with Armageddon. You happen to one of them?" She clicked her tongue under her mask. "Uh huh?" She didn't seemed convinced. She then walked over to Scarab. "Unlock him" she demanded.
Red approached and removed the shackles; he then produced a pill, handing it to Scarab. He nodded and took it after scanning it. He felt his body healing. His shoulder felt painful as it mended itself. Smiling approached with his weapons and mask. Scarab nodded and took them. "We'll be going now," Sun Demon said, walking past Smiling. She stood in front of Red. "You want to kill the king, I'll gladly assist you. But I'm not serving some unknown Primordial? Take care King Slayer I need to prepare my people for the siege to come" Scarab hesitated and then quickly followed Sun.
They both left, leaving the two by themselves. "Well shit that that went well? She didn't even care to ask questions. She was flat out saying no? What now?" Smiling pulled out some jerky and began eating it. Red Demon shrugged, "This has to be fate's doing. She isn't ready to shed this life. I would guess the Sun Demon under that mask is royalty. The way she talked and her tone was commanding like she was giving orders from a young age?" Smiling raised an eyebrow. "All that from just talking to her?" Red nodded. "I was royalty at some point. I know the cadence and the entitlement that comes with acting superior to others" he sat next to the fire. "Well we tried, this invasion is going to happen. This'll give us a glimpse of the defenses and how this king fights?" Smiling nodded at this. "Sounds good. So what? Just watch death enter this city and just watch?" Red nodded. "Precisely. May even be a good opportunity to wait. He may weaken from this?" Smiling took a swig from his flask.

Scarab and Sun Demon made it back to the Hideout. There Scarab removed the bandages from his shoulder. Sun Demon sat upon a chair opposite of him. "So what do you think of those two?" Scarab asked after putting on a clean black shirt. "They meant what they said. I didn't see them lying, but yet I can't trust them either. I have more important things to do instead. Like this invasion that the king doesn't seem to be preparing for?" That seemed to trouble her the most. Her father isn't a total idiot and someone who prepares. But not even this lack of doing nothing made no sense to her. "He has to be doing this for a reason?" Scarab's suggestion wasn't far off. Perhaps the strategy is to do nothing. That's when she leaned forward "That's it! He wants them to enter the city! He's using the people as bait and will then entrap the army in the city. We need to move quickly and get the people out of harm's way. We could bring them underground. You get the many in gear and organize this. I will do some digging" she stood up grabbing her spear.
