Chapter 67 - Mind Element

"The Mind Element is a telekinetic ability that draws chi from the Mind Palace. Giving way to many different psychic abilities such as pyrokinesis, telekinesis, telepathy, etc. I in particular have the ability of telekinesis and telepathy. Anyone who possesses this element can evolve to all types of telekinetic abilities. Its ever changing the more you evolve your Mind Palace. Even casting constructs and bend reality" The Temple explained.

The illusion dissipated and Red Demon was back to his present self. He stared at his hands, "So I could make illusions like yours?" He asked. Temple chuckled, "Perhaps. To be honest I'm nothing more than a apparition created by my real self before leaving. So that is why I purpose that I embed the remaining chi of this place into your Mind Palace. This would imprint a special spell upon it. See my real self created a spell mixed with a technique when using the element it evolves the more you use it there for expanding the Mind Palace" Red Demon looked taken aback. "What does that do if you can elevate your mind?" He asked. Spark smirked, "A mind capable to see time, space, and the threads of fate. You could reshape realms with a thought and bend matter. I was extremely close to this breakthrough when I reached Primordial. The technique also elevated my ability to process thoughts, memories, and information as lightnings speed. In turn expanding the capacity of the brain to hold all this" he explained. "What's the catch?" He asked. "It's very simple and easy to get it?" The Temple said slyly. They both remained silent as she waited for his answer. He felt awkward, "And the answer is?" he asked. Temple shook their heads in annoyance and sighed in frustration.

"Freedom. Like you I am also trapped in playing a role. I'll guide you and help you use my master piece that made me who I am. From there you'll have to excel but your mind will be extremely elevated that you won't have trouble. And Ill be there every step of the way" the temple explained. "Who were you really? Before this?" The temple stood and then the illusion of Spark fell away and he turned into a she. She was beautiful with purple eyes behind a thin glasses, a tight vest around a slender fit body with a silk shirt underneath. She wore pants and high heel shoes. She had red flowing hair and fiery eyes. She smiled big, "They called me the All Seeing a powerful psychic. I was on par with the intelligence of The World itself. When I tried to reach the ranks all I know is my real body was killed. I don't know how or why. My subconscious awoken here and I've been a glorified fortune teller ever since. It's boring and far between. Let this temple fall and you take me as a partner?" The All Seeing smirked.

Red Demon was in shock. He had heard legends of a being with that name moving continents with their very mind. They wiped out a rival clan by picking up the island they were stationed on and dropped into the ocean from a great height. This created a tsunami so big it wiped out the rival gangs stationed in the neighboring islands. Wiping very lands from maps forever. If he could do the same he could become unstoppable. "I accept. But I am still weary to trust you?" He stated. She nodded, "That is understandable and if I were you I would be the same. But I assure you I want nothing more than to leave this place and carry on my legacy. You'll be my successor in a way!" She winked. "What do I have to do?" He asked. "Endure" she then walked up and placed a hand upon his forehead. A searing bolt of energy rushed into his Mind Palace. His ethereal self inside was glowing as it too was set upon by an ethereal All Seeing the dark ocean around his ruined patch he sat with swirled and rose. The ring of the black sun above started to glow faintly. Behind it runes started to form upon the crown of his mind. It was slow but the feeling was like lava burning into his skull. Sweat poured from his head as he endured. He would fight through the pain and remain conscious.

Smiling Demon awoke laying upon bedding in a cave. The walls were carved with wolves and lining some were even statutes of wolves. A stone throne sat in the middle. Torches were lit all around illuminating some of the pitch black room. Next to him he found his ax and scythe. His mask lay among them as well. He still had his belongings and suffered a major headache. All in all he was lucky. He stood up collecting his weapons and mask. He then started too look around, "Where the hell am I?" He whispered. He saw two fire pits and ring of torches around the circular room. Upon the seat of the throne was furs of wolves. A mist formed upon the throne and took shape into a man in black with a wolf mask covering half his face. He had glowing white eyes and clenched in his teeth was a thin decorative pipe. "You are in my keep known as Lycaon Tower. I can assure you that I mean you know harm and you will be free when your master returns" he stood up and his aura showed he was powerful. Smiling could see the two blades sheathed behind him. He could feel the chi coming off this man and he was not one to fight. Not if he wanted to live of course. "You appear to be a King? Who are you?" Smiling asked. The man laughed, "I am the Wolf King ruler of the Ash Realm or some call the Guard Dog of the Dead" he explained taking a puff of his pipe as the bowl flew orange. He exhaled smoke he then sat back on his throne as he tapped the pipe clean into a bowl. "Why are we here? Does that woman work for you?" Smiling asked. Wolf King chuckled at this. "No. No she is her own person and a free agent. She is a troublesome Primordial and let's just say I can't refuse her when she wants something" the king shrugged. Smiling could tell a hint of love at those words.

"She your woman?" Smiling said with a smirk. "That would explain that comment you just made. You choose not to refuse her?" He stated. The King laughed, "You got me. Yes we are an item, and yes I do have a hard time refusing her sometimes" the two laughed at this. "So do you have a woman where your from?" The wolf king asked sprinkling herbs into the pipe bowl. "No. Where I came from there isn't many humans left. But I did have a thing for someone before that. She sadly…was caught up in the slaughter brought by the King" Smiling Demon explained. "Sorry to hear that. Well I hope you find love. It's what's made my life more bearable and I truly believe that to be true for everyone. What is your name?" The king asked. Smiling shrugged, "My new name is Smiling Demon" he confessed. "I was guard to Red Demon the Kingslayer. But I didn't even manage to protect him from your woman. She was the strongest person I've ever faced. I could do nothing" he clenched his fist in anger. "I wouldn't be to hard yourself. She is a Primordial after all. What's your rank?" He asked. "Rank Five God in the middle tier" he told him. "See? Your merely an ant trying to fight a foot. If you wish to elevate yourself I have the means for that? We have rich deposits of chi used by my men to cultivate. We also have a library of tomes and spells you are welcome to use free of charge. Take it as compensation for my lady friend's rudeness. The House of Thoughts can be a long journey we do not know when your master will return" he explained puffing on his pipe. Smiling Demon's eyes widened, "Really? I would be most honored. Thank you" he bowed. "I must confess you are peculiar to your counterparts. Most King's I have met so far are not as generous?" He said with a soft smile. The king nodded, "Yes well here's a secret. I already walked the Celestial Step and I too am a Primordial recognized even and given a Function. I keep something guarded here and rule over this realm. I am given freedom and serve the World. Loyalty my friend can come with perks always remember that" he rose a hand, "Fulken?" He said loudly. A man materialized from mist with a wolf mask and yellow glowing eyes through the sockets. He bowed with a salute over his heart, "Your highness calls his humble servant? How may I assist?" The man rose to meet the King's eyes.

"Fulken take our guest around the keep. He will be given a room and show him to the cultivation wing. He will have access to the tomes and chi deposits. If he needs assistance in perfecting his techniques assign a teacher. One rule young man, the tomes stay here. You may replicate them, but no originals may leave this keep understood?" Smiling gave him a nod and bow. "Yes absolutely. I appreciate the opportunity you are giving me to grow stronger for my master" he said with a bow. "What is the House of Thought?" Smiling asked. "A temple used for enlightenment by our people. It's to help your master on his path" the king explained. With that he was lead away by Fulken.

Sometime later Fulken escorted him through the keep. It was old and each wall was ornate with carvings of ghosts and wolves chasing them. To a wolf crowned and sitting upon a throne with his pack bowing to him. Even dead spirits enclosed behind a giant wall. They passed other warriors that were dressed similarly to Fulken. He was not a particularly chatty individual. He was all business, "this is our mess hall if you wish for food. We eat three times, but I will have some food brought to your room tonight tomorrow at six a.m. we have breakfast try to be on time" Fulken stated to him. 'Well I could eat that's for sure' Smiling thought walking past the mess hall filled with men and women in black uniforms and eating and chatting. "Next I will show you the cultivation wing" Fulken stated. 'That's what I am most hungry for!' Smiling thought.
