Red Demon and Smiling Demon were racing down the stairs when a split in reality occured right in front of them. They stopped on their tracks as the golem Draymond stepped out from the portal. The portal closed behind him as he bowed. "Draymond?" Red Demon stated. Smiling Demon perked up, "You know this puppet?" He asked. Red Demon nodded, "He serves my master and the World" he explained relaxing as he approached Draymond. "Master Lad or should I say Red?" The golem exclaimed. "What are you doing here?" Red Demon asked. "I'm here to take you to the Gate. Your time nere is done per the World's orders" Draymond explained.
Red Demon arched his eyebrows. "This is new? What's changed? The palace is under siege, but getting out won't be a problem. As long as we help him" he explained. As the structure shook from another impact. "A king has been chosen. You have done your part. The ceremony will begin shortly. Once that individual has truly proven themselves worthy. This battle will decide their fate" Draymond explained.
Smiling Demon nodded nonchalantly, "Who was chosen?" He asked. "I can't tell you that. But we should be leaving. The realm must find their own way without your assistance. So come on please" a portal then opened behind him. Smiling Demon started to follow. Red Demon was hesitant. 'A king has been chosen?' He thought. "Draymond I wish to see the ceremony. May you take us to a safe distance to witness it? And then take us to the gate?" He asked. Draymond was silent for a moment. "That would not violate my orders so I will comply Master Red" the three stepped into the portal and were gone.

The bridge was a bloodbath of catastrophic proportions. Cornelius's men held their ground and slaughtered the enemy that came close. They worked like a unit without any training to make it so. They just followed everything Cornelius shouted. "SHIELDS! LANCES! MOVE BACK!" He kept repeating this over and over. Every other second a soldier was pulled into the army of the bridge to be bludgeoned to death by maces and axes. The leader of the incursion army sat back behind the line watching. He watched as his men stormed the sides of the bridge only to fall to their deaths.
So the leader knight joined the frey he held up a shield blocking arrows that were raining down on them. He scanned the battle under his skull helmet. Elements flying this way and that obliterating his troops. He stomped his foot activating flames of red particles. He was a Bedlam user one who controls the energy of chaos. Not a very common element like Mind, Shadow, or Bolt. But now this knight was weilding it. He created tentacles of red sparks that began to strike out at his own men flowing through them like a electrical current. They screamed in pain as their bodies started to glow red surging with strength and energy. 'Let's see if Spread Chaos spell works to boost the men's success. This seemed to work as they began to attack crazily and without prejudice the last I used it' he thought. Pushing through one another for a chance to kill an enemy. Almost a reckless action with arrows. But even a fatal wound refused to stop them.
They kept moving forward killing the defenders of the palace. Some even laughed manically as if their minds were nothing but madness. Each attack had extreme power behind it. Their own elements enhanced as they shot out spells. Flames raged forward engulfing archers. Flying troops over head raining down Gust spells were taken down to be pummeled upon by several of Sword King's troops. Cornelius then became angry as he activated a rare element like Bedlam. Mind was his element as he picked up enemy soldiers slamming into eachother and then throwing them over the cliff. He went on a rampage as an invisible force activated jerking enemy soldiers violently.
Shadow Cat was set upon by two enemy combatants. He quickly dispatched them both with his chain scythe and went to protect Cornelius's back as he couldn't do much while he activated his telekinesis spell. Cornelius then crushed knights in their armor like cans. Throwing them aside like trash. He then sprinted forward creating an invisible wall of force pushing knights off the side.
The skull helmed knight was intrigued, "Well, well, seems this one possess a rare element like me. Mind is very rare indeed compared to my Bedlam ability. He doesn't seem all that strong though? He's a Rank 4 Demigod status. I'll fight him myself' he thought gripping his shield and broad sword. He activated a spell called 'Chaos Sprint' as he weaved through the combatants locked in battle he was a afterimage of crimson and chaotic energy. He then set upon Cornelius hitting him with his shield. Cornelius moved fast creating an invisible force to decrease the impact. He slid back and ran forward slashing through the knight that then disappeared in vapor. The spell's afterimage tricking his perception. He dodged a slash from the knight's sword sidestepping. He held up a shield and pressed power into the next attack pushing his body forward. He bullrushed the knight pushing him back. He ducked a slash and Cornelius came up with a slash to his chest.
He then threw the shield rim pushing telekinetic power into it pushing the knight backwards throwing him off balance. He spun around on one leg driving a knee into Cornelius's gut. He gasped air and fought through the pain. He spun the sword around driving it into the knight's leg cutting through the armor. The knight groaned in pain grabbing Cornelius around the neck and then slamming him to the ground. He jerked the sword from his leg and then created red energy that then wrapped around Cornelius's body creating red chains. He then gripped the other end spinning about slamming Cornelius into the bridge he groaned in pain and his vision was blurry.
He pushed all power into his core creating resistance pushing the chains lose as he slipped out. He grabbed the chains pulling the knight closer driving a fist into this helmet. Dodged a swipe from his sword and then a punch from his shield. He picked up a sword off the ground and went on the offensive. The two were locked in a destructive battle for their comrades. Shadow Cat and the Old Lord were thrown back from the impact of the two.
Skull knight created a matrix of chaotic energy and shot them forth. It desentagrated everything in its path cutting through ally and enemy alike all aimed at Cornelius. He used two enemy soldiers as shields while dodging them. He then pushed his mind to pick them up with his telekinesis able to control only one. "MAKE IT COUNT" he screamed at himself as he shot back at the knight. He tried to control it to stop only to be met with a unstable creation that then exploded. The second one Cornelius failed to stop also exploded sending him backwards crashing into wnemy combatants. He then fell from the bridge falling into the open air descending down to the water below. His body broken and beaten he was having trouble moving as the air around him whilstling past. He then sheathed his sword. 'NO! Not like this! I refuse!" His arms extended into wings and he quickly got his bearings flapping and then shooting upwards. He flew past the bridge over everyone and found his prey with his eagle eyes. He then free fell towards him. He was weakly getting up. He was then pushed down by Cornelius's stretched claws grabbing his arms and pushing back into the walls. They slammed into them coming to a stop. Cornelius's wings turned back to arms as he drove a fist into the helmet.
The knight then grabbed one of this legs freeing a claw off him and then spinning the bird slamming him into the wall. Cornelius bounced off falling away. He rolled away and weakly tried to stand as blood flowed from his beak and head. He gripped the handle of the sword and stood up facing his opponent who was now walking towards him. "Well…your no weakling slave are you? Your quite the warrior I will give you that…but" he shot forward slashing at Cornelius who quickly turned but sustained a slash across his shoulder. He rolled with it and then stabbed at the knight that swiped the sword away with his armored arm. Cornelius dodged another swipe of the sword. He jumped back catching his breath pushing chi through his circuits. 'I have a few spells but that is all for my element and that's it. There is one spell I can use, but using it would drain all my chi. Leaving me vulnerable?' He thought. He dove into his Mind Palace. His mind was a green pool with a loan piece of land in the center. Floating above him was a crystal eagle with wings out stretched with a static screaming face.
Above the statue floated three orbs. They came down to his ethereal self and he found the three spells. Besides his telekenesis spell he also possessed one called 'Mind Expanse' and the other was 'Kinetic Push'. Mind Expanse would allow him to attempt a mass control of the entire battlefield. He never attempted this spell before.
But things were dire. He had to do something. He then touched the orb and runes lit up all around his mind activating it.
