Chapter 181 - Chapter 181: The War for Zou Island

Starfish World, the Moon, Noah's Ark.

Imus was reading the reports sent to him by the Five Elders regarding the handling of the Demon Slayer World after its conquest.

This was the third world under the control of the World Government, and Imu felt that it was necessary for his identity to be clarified.

"Information about my 'dream' or 'seclusion' of several centuries could begin to spread. I am not the old Imu who likes to be secluded, and considering the current situation of the World Government, I can no longer remain in the shadows forever."

"Especially when the World Government might encounter a situation in the future that the generals can't handle..."

Then Imu continued reading the report.

"So Muzan is no longer a demon?"

Imu was shocked upon reading the information.

After conquering the Demon Slayer World, the World Government found the Blue Spider Lily, so they completed the experimental medicine that was used on Muzan. Because the medicine is specifically designed for those who suffered from the disease that Muzan had when he was still human, the medicine is impossible to use on other people.

Imu lamented this fact, thinking of the value it would have if the World Government's high-level combatants had Muzan's almost unlimited self-regeneration and resurrection ability.

With the ability to control cells on an individual level, infinite strength and endurance, and an unknown longevity, Muzan was a true treasure to the Biochemical Research Institute.

In time, Imu was confident that the World Government could develop a powerful genetic enhancement serum from the Blue Spider Lily.

"That's why it's right to keep Muzan in Impel Down. A treasure of such value shouldn't be used for fighting, and besides, we don't need his strength in battle."

Meanwhile, outside Noah's Ark, Doctors Vegapunk and Tsukimi had arrived with a group of researchers to the underground city of the Moon. Their faces reflected excitement as they conversed with the small robots, trying to obtain more information from them.

Imu watched all this with interest but had no intention of interfering.

"Now that I think about it, I still have a third Dimensional Gate to open, but..."

Imu stared at the star map.

"The Demon Slayer World has just been conquered and the World Government is in the process of assimilating it. Opening another world now would be too hasty, especially considering that the Kabane World has not yet been completely controlled."

Fully integrating the resources of a new world is no easy task. Even for the World Government, managing an entire planetary civilization takes time and patience. Imu knew he had to give the World Government time to assimilate these new territories.

"I'll give them a year." Imu decided. "Next year, I'll open the third Dimensional Gate. Then, depending on the situation of that new world, I'll choose a Dimensional Gate to upgrade to a medium-sized gate to speed up the development process of that world."

...

Impel Down, Chief Warden's office.

Magellan sat on a couch, watching Muzan receive his uniform from Chief Warden Columbus.

"Congratulations! From now on, you are the new Chief Guard here. Do a good job!"

"Thank you. I really like this place." Muzan replied with a smile, nodding to Magellan before leaving the office.

"An individual from another world turned Chief Guard... we really are living in fascinating times," Magellan commented.

"Yes, indeed. I too am looking forward to future changes. Hopefully we will see even more interesting things." Columbus replied.

...

A flying warship soared through the skies above the second half of the Grand Line.

It was nighttime, and the huge full moon illuminated the vast ocean with a silvery glow.

But at this moment, a deep and tall darkness appeared in front of the warship, as if it were a gigantic endless wall.

Even at the altitude of the flying warship, everyone on the deck could feel the overwhelming magnitude.

"Oh my god, this must be more than 10,000 meters high"

An Air Force major general looked up and exclaimed in amazement.

"We don't know the exact altitude, but all their food comes from fruits and vegetables from the islands in the sky and from huge algae in the White Sea." Pekoms replied.

Pekoms couldn't resist the World Government's request and could only use the Vivre Card to lead these people to find Zou Island.

Zou was an ancient country situated on the back of a gigantic elephant called Zunesha.

"Let's go up." A black-robed figure spoke in a cold voice.

"Okay!" The Air Force Major General nodded and began to order his men to control the warship to climb the altitude.

Thirty minutes later, the flying warship arrived on Zunesha's back.

"I'm back again" Pekoms watched with a mixture of emotions.

At first, he firmly refused, but after learning about the existence of other worlds and dimensional gates, he had no choice but to agree, knowing that the world government would not allow the minks to stand aside.

Not only because of Zou's strategic value, but also because the minks were known as a nation of beast warriors.

"I'll go talk to the Ruler of Night."

"Hey, Captain Laskey!"

The Air Force Major General watched speechlessly as the other party spread his bat wings and flew out of the warship, and then disappeared from sight at a very fast speed.

At that moment, a silver flash flashed in the distance.

"Who are you? How dare you trespass into this country!"

Laskey flapped the bat wings behind him and stood in the air with his back to the bright full moon.

He looked down coldly at the white figure who had collided with him. It was a silver-haired monkey, with flashes of electricity running through its body.

"Are you the Night Monkey, the Ruler of Night here?"

"I am Laskey, the captain of Chiper Pol-9 under the World Government. I have been ordered to subdue you and the Golden Monkey, the Ruler of Day."

"World Government."

Hearing this term, Night Monkey's expression became solemn.

"We, the Mink Tribe, have been living in isolation here and have no interest in your World Government, nor do we wish to speak further about it. Please leave immediately!"

Night Monkey's voice was very cold.

"First of all, it doesn't matter whether you are interested in the World Government or not. What matters is that the World Government is very interested in you."

Laskey didn't take the other party's words to heart at all.

"Second, I don't need to talk to you. You just have to listen carefully to what I'm going to say and then accept. The only thing you can do is obey."

"Arrogant!"

The night monkey was furious, and the electric light on his body became more and more intense. He extended his hand and broke a branch from the tree he was standing on, covering it with a black glow. The electricity jumping from his body quickly transferred to the branch.

"If you don't leave in a good way, I'll force you out!"

With a cry that echoed through the night, the Night Monkey transformed into a bolt of silver and blue lightning, shooting forward.

Meanwhile, the flying warship landed not far away, and a large number of Air Force soldiers began to rush towards the Mink Tribe city.

The World Government had never thought of convincing the Mink Tribe with words. They always knew they would have to fight.

"Hmph!"

When the Night Monkey was close, Laskey transformed into a red shadow, dodging the Night Monkey's electric rod attack, but did not get far away.

In an instant, his right index finger elongated into a sharp, red claw, pointing directly at the Night Monkey's forehead.

"Shigan: Bloodshed!"

The Night Monkey felt an intense sense of danger, the electricity surged momentarily, barely deflecting the attack as he dodged to the side and landed on a treetop.

"Soru: Bloodwing!"

Laskey's bat wings flared with a flash of red light.

Then, at a speed that was completely unnoticeable to the naked eye, it appeared in front of the night monkey in the blink of an eye.

[Clang!]

The huge bat wings, covered in a pitch-black shade and decorated with red mist, crashed against the branch covered in electricity. And the Night Monkey's body was thrown violently.

The trees in his path were broken into pieces as they collided with him.

The Night Monkey created a deep crater when he crashed into the ground, and soon realized that he couldn't defeat Laskey.

With a rebellious expression he looked up at the bright moon in the night sky. Bathed in the moonlight, the Night Monkey's body began to change dramatically.

His hair was rapidly turning white and growing longer. His body also began to enlarge at a visible speed. The pupils of his eyes turned blood red.

[Boom!]

A thunderclap rang out, and a blue bolt of lightning shot out from the Night Monkey's body, reaching into the clouds and forcing Laskey back.

Laskey remained expressionless as he floated in the air, looking down at the Night Monkey.

"Outsider, get out of here!" The Night Monkey roared. With another roar he launched himself at Laskey.

The bat wings on Laskey's back flapped violently, creating turbulence in the air as he crashed into the Night Monkey in midair.

[Boom!]

The blood wings and electric claws collided with tremendous force, producing a deafening roar.

Laskey and the Night Monkey's speeds were incredibly fast, their silhouettes seeming to multiply as they repeatedly crossed paths and collided in a brief but intense exchange.

After numerous confrontations, the Night Monkey's fatigue began to become evident.

"Rankyaku: Blood Bat Dance!"

Laskey noticed the Night Monkey's weakness and used a powerful attack.

With a strong movement of his right leg, he launched a crescent-blade blood blade.

[Bang!]

The blade exploded in the air, turning into a swarm of blood bats that surrounded the Night Monkey.

Even though some of the blood bats were bombarded by the electric current, more of them still left hideous bloody wounds on the night monkey.

"Ahhhh"

A piercing scream rang out as the last bat disappeared, and the scarred Night Monkey fell to the ground, only to be caught in time by a golden figure.

"Gold... Golden Monkey." The Night Monkey said in a hoarse voice.

"Yes, it's me."

The Golden Monkey looked at Laskey with a solemn expression and said to the Night Monkey in a deep voice: "Do you still have strength? Otherwise, I won't be able to face him alone."
