Chapter 64 - Yannis Make a Move (Part 3)

In the Salvador's mansion.

"Dad, how's the situation at home?" Samuel, arriving home, noticed his father's troubled expression, he sensing an ominous feeling.

His father sighed heavily. "It might not be good. Initially, I thought it was our family's enemies acting behind the scenes, but now it seems not. The other party holds significant power in Big Apple City. This morning, I received a notice from Big Money Bank; the initially planned three-year repayment period has been suddenly reduced to three months. They can influence Big Money Bank. The person involved is someone even the bank wouldn't dare offend."

"Father, what if it's the Yoder behind all of this?" Samuel was sure it was the Yoder because they were shareholders in Big Money Bank.

Mr. Salvador was taken aback. "Why would the Yoder target us? We haven't had any conflicts with them, have we?"

"This matter is actually related to me, it's my fault..." Samuel explained the cause and effect to his father.

"The junior members of the Yoder actually acted due to such a minor issue. Their narrow-mindedness is really surprising. How can they achieve greatness with such a limited vision? It's even more unbelievable that the Yoder would also allowed his actions," Mr. Salvador furrowed his brow.

"The Yoder has always held themselves in high regard, not caring much about other aristocratic families. I don't think there's anything unexpected in their behavior," Samuel said. Then, he thinking for awhile and decided to tell his father about Amalia being an Artificer.

"Is what you're saying true?" Mr. Salvador's mind was stirred.

Samuel nodded, "Absolutely. I confirmed this matter with Carlos. He personally told me that he had asked her and received confirmation."

Mr. Salvador's heart surged. He paced back and forth in the living room and then, with a more serious expression, said, "Samuel, this might be your opportunity. Big Apple City is ultimately too small. If sacrificing our family's estate allows you to go further with the Salvador, I won't hesitate in the slightest..."

"Father..." Samuel was shocked.

"Listen to me," Mr. Salvador raised his hand to stop him. "You also know our family's situation. Those people might come knocking at our door at any time. I may protect you temporarily, but not for a lifetime. But if you can rely on an Artificer with an unlimited future, maybe you can save yourself, even the Salvador. I know this burden shouldn't fall on your shoulders, but right now, the only person our family can rely on is only you."

"Father, you've always told me from a young age that the Salvador has a powerful enemy, but why have you never told me who this enemy is?" Samuel had pondered this question countless times.

Mr. Salvador shook his head, "It's not the time to tell you yet. If you want to know, you must become stronger."

Samuel initially knew he wouldn't get an answer; if his father didn't want to share something, no amount of questioning would get it out of him.
