Chapter 6 - Her first day - 2

"Don't mess up." said Frank with a smirk playing at his lips

Sharon simply looked at him coldly and said, "It's a shame, if you had planned thoroughly that smirk might have actually scared me."

She snorted and walked out of the car with her head held high like a peacok. A ghost of a smile flashed on Frank's lips as he thought to himself, 'maybe moving back was not needed after all, she did survive a whole five years with their father all alone.'

Sharon did not know that her brother was thinking so highly of her when all she truly wanted was to end him somehow, very subtly.

She entered the loby of the building and headed straight to the receptionist who then directed her to the law deparment of the building. When she entered the tenth floor she could not fathom the chaos which was going on in there at the moment. She had wanted to do her law internship in this particular company because of how relaxed their workplace was. It was gauranteed to her that she would not need to put in more work than what was necessary on a daily basis. Yet the moment she set foot in the department she regretted it with all her might.

Thoughts of running away flooded her mind at that moment and all she did was look at the elevator longingly as she walk closer and closer to the manager's office. She needed to be fully introduced to the department and would then be placed where she would of best help, 'of course that means being an assistance' but that was all she needed really. Being placed on the spotlight had already been hard on her with her demanding father who is an absolute creep.

When she entered the office, awoman who looked to be in her ealy thities was seated there with her head tilted forward as she was reading a document with all her attention placed on it.

Sharon did not want to diturb her so she simply greeted her, which she answered her with a sound of agreement and then Sharon sat down on the sofawhich a few feet away from her desk as not to be of any disturbance.

The woman took a few minutes reading the papers once more and when she looked up, her eyes met those of Sharon's and a smile plasted on her face.

Sharon was shocked at beautiful face, she was soo gorgeous that she did not want to look away from her.

The woman snapped her fingers at Sharon and then said, "Well, this is the first time I've been stared at this much by a woman. I'll take that as a compliment."

Sharon smiled widely hearing what she said.

The woman did not waste any more time and then said, "Welcome to the Cezar company Law department. I am Julie and from today onwards you will be working directly with me. Since you were a double major in Law and Business, I believe you will be fantastic addition to the company."

"yes mam."

They discussed a few technical details which Sharon needed to take care of before the end of that very day, one of them being to meet the CEO for the discussion of the M.E.I crisis. Something unknown flashed in her eyes when she heard that, but she could not help but ask, "Is it true that the M.E.I Bank will be sold?"

Julie was quite for a second as she intently watched Sharon. Sharon of course did not show any inclilate of her emotions to her which made Julie smile and she said, "Your well informed, I'm impressed. Yes, there are discussions on the matter but if the Bank does not come up with a counter measure before the end of this week, they might be forced to shut down. Sad isn't it?"

"Yeah, it is."

An hour later:

As Sharon came out of the HR department she felt a headache brewing in her head. It seemed like it was not the Law department only that was in a frenzy this morning, but the unscaled craziness in the HR department almost killed her.

This was the time also had a meeting the CEO which meant that she neeeded to be in her best behaviour and get everything sorted out without any hick-ups.

She entered the elevator to the get to the eighteenth floor. Just when the doors were about to be closed a voice came from the outside which said, "Hold the door for me."

Sharon did as told of course and wentback to the documents at hand without looking up. The man who had entered the elevator was quite the entire time as if waiting for her to give him her full attention. When the elevator was in the tenth floor she peacked up from her documents to see how much more time was needed which ws when the man spoke and said, "We meet again, Miss Peters."
