Chapter 446 - Chapter 446: Marines Check-up

Meanwhile back on Enies Lobby, Zephyr approached the island on a Marine battleship. He looked at the horizon. "It has been a few days since the ruckus," he remarked.

"Yes we had lost contact with Enies Lobby for a few hours a few days ago and when they came back online the next day they reported the incident," the Marines soldier replied.

"Filthy Pirates," Zephyr responded. He looked in disgust to see a group of pirates which attacked the place and got away. He thought the Marines were not up to the task at all.

"Sir, we will dock in 10 minutes," another Marine said as he saluted.

"Good," Zephyr responded. He looked to see the building destroyed. He thought a beauty had been left to rubble. He gritted his teeth.

The Marine battleship docked. He left the Marine battleship and walked on to the island. He could smell the aftermath of bloodshed in the air, a metallic tang that lingered heavily, mixing with the acrid scent of smoke and ash from the destroyed buildings. The stench of death was unmistakable. The streets were littered with debris, charred wood, crumbled stone, and shattered glass. The faint scent of scorched earth and burning metal hung in the atmosphere.

Zephyr looked around and saw the destruction. He thought the pirates had all this. He thought this was the place where pirates come to face justice now, it's in ruins.

"Sir they are resting in the Tower of Justice," a Marine soldier reported.

"What is left of it," Zephyr replied as he walked towards the Tower of Justice. He entered the destroyed building with windows with their glass broken out. He saw Marines scattered everywhere, their bodies battered and broken, many wrapped in blood-stained bandages. Some leaned against walls or rubble, their faces pale, while others lay motionless on stretchers, their eyes barely open or closed in pain. The sheer number of wounded was staggering. Medics rushed between the injured, their hands stained with blood as they tended to wounds.

Many of the Marines wore expressions of grim determination, even in their weakened state, trying to sit up or reassure their comrades. Some had limbs wrapped in thick bandages, makeshift slings holding arms across their chests, while others had crude splints hastily applied to broken legs.

Zephyr walked Sharinguru and Very Good in beds, lying down. They both were covered in bandages. He walked forward and saw Gorilla unconscious.

"Gorilla was shot by them brutally," Sharinguru remarked.

"Those pirates," Very Good added. He gritted his teeth. He thought back to the girl, the lance, the flames. He thought he would beat her.

"Those Pirates indeed," Zephyr said. "It is a shame that those pirates were able to walk away after all this," he added.

He looked to see Yukimura, a rear admiral resting on his bed. "They were not ordinary for sure," Yukimua added. "One add the ability to change anything she could see into stone," he added.

Zephyr looked at him. "Stone?" he asked. "The Pirate Empress Boa Hancock has that ability as well," he added.

"It was like that but it looked like she had just got it," Yukimura responded.

Zephyr thought it was interesting but one girl should not be able to defeat them all.

He looked to see Maynard and Onigumo who were resting on the bed. Ongiumo was covered in bandages, wrapped tightly around almost every part of his body. His arms were bound in layers of gauze, the bandages stretching from his wrists up to his shoulders. Some of the bandages were stained with patches of dried blood. His chest and torso were similarly wrapped, with layers of bandages criss crossing over one another. His legs were not spared, wrapped from thigh to ankle, Despite being swathed in bandages, his face looked determined.

"They even escaped you," Zephyr remarked.

Onigumo looked at Zephyr. "It was a cheapshot and that giant," Onigumo said.

"There were reports of the giants defecting to the other side and a large giant roaming around," Zephyr commented.

"They won't escape next time," Onigumo added. Zephyr looked at Onigumo. He stared at him.

"This has put the Marines in shame," Maynard said. His chest was covered in bandages.

"We will hunt them all down," Onigumo said.

"A task force is being set-up to go after them," Zephyr responded. "It will be led by CP8 with the support of the Marines," he added.

"This is a Marines matter," Onigumo remarked.

Zephyr thought this was interesting news when he heard she would be leading it.

He shifted his focus. "You all will need to get it ready soon," Zephyr said.

"Ready for them?" Maynard asked.

"No, they are small fish in the ocean, the big whales are coming soon," Zephyr replied. "There are orders from Fleet Admiral Sengoku to be on high alert and ready when called," Zephyr stated.

"Must be a very big whale," Onigumo smiled. "Pirates are all supposed to die," he said.

"All must be," Zephyr responded. He looked at his hand and gritted his teeth. He thought about his wife and son. He thought they were all the same.

Meanwhile in MarineFord HQ two elderly men were sitting around in an office. Sengoku, looked at the newspaper. "Garp your grandson and his friend are up to no good once again," Sengoku shouted as he slammed down his fist onto the desk.

Garp laughed. "They are a bit of a handful. My Luffy used to be so innocent, then that Redhair influenced him and now he says he wants to be "Pirate King." Can you believe that?" he said. "And then he meets this other person and makes him worse. They both need a fist of love," Garp shouted.

"Well they both destroyed Enies Lobbies," Sengoku shouted.

"He has grown so big," Garp cried as he had a wide grin on his face.

"Take this seriously," Sengoku said, his voice booming.

"Well, you have assigned CP8 to go after those brats," Garp said.

"It came from them," Sengoku said.

"I will go and see them," Garp remarked as he got up.
