Grandline
On the vast ocean, a sleek, blackened hull ship with a sea serpent at the front coursed through the ocean. "There is an island there," Pin Joker remarked as he touched the hilt of his sword.
Kuro touched his glasses and looked at the island. "We need some more supplies, that will be perfect," he replied. He smiled.
"That looks like the Island of Viira," Gasparde commented.
Captain Morgan cleaned his axe with his cloth. He looked up towards Gasparde. "What has gotten you shocked?" Eldoraggo remarked. He touched his face.
"The island isn't under Marine control; there's a civil war raging," Morgan replied.
"Rumor has it the Revolutionary Army is involved, aiming to topple the ruling faction," Gasparde added, his eyes scanning the horizon.
Kuro adjusted his glasses, "That is interesting," he remarked.
Pin Joker's voice cut through the tension "Should we turn back?" he asked, his hand hovering near his sword.
Needles bristled, his own hand moving instinctively to his weapon. "Scared, Pin?" he taunted, a challenge in his tone.
Pin Joker's response was swift, drawing his sword with a sharp hiss. "You wanna go, Needles? Let's settle this now!" he declared.
Gasparde's voice thundered over their bickering. "Enough!" he commanded, his tone brooking no argument. "Our mission is to bring down the Love Pirates, not each other. Save your energy for the real fight," he directed, his gaze steely.
"You are not in charge," Kuro said, touching his glasses.
"Someone has to," Gasparde replied. His hand turned green.
"We are there," Eldorado said, touching his face.
Pin Joker looked at Needles. He has been annoying since he came onboard. They all were however, Ben the man who took everything from them, their hatred together, will bring him down.
Needles walked to the helm and steered the ship into port. The port town was on a rugged coastline. The buildings were grey and dull which were clustered closely. There were winding cobblestone streets which were broken.Seagulls soared overhead. The occasional gun shot could be heard. Market stalls lined the waterfront. It looked worn and torn. Crates of fruits and vegetables looked dull. Narrow alleyways wound their way through the town. Laundry fluttered on lines strung between buildings. At the heart of the town, there was a large town hall.
"It's not a large place," Pin Joker said.
"This is just the port town, one of many," Gasparde replied.
"It is the smallest," Morgan added.
Eldoraggo pondered aloud, fingers tracing his chin. "Think they've got any gold tucked away?" he mused, a glint of anticipation in his eyes.
Kuro adjusted his glasses with a thoughtful expression. "Does it look like they're swimming in riches," he said.
"You are a mood killer," Eldoraggo said.
As the ship docked, the crew disembarked onto the worn wooden planks of the harbour. Stepping onto the cobblestone streets, they saw people with bandages and depressed expressions shuffling past. They saw children playing with makeshift balls in the dusty alleys. Their eyes held a vacant emptiness.
"This place is depressing," Pin Joker said.
"There is a war ongoing," Gasparde reminded him.
"We are here for supplies not sightseeing," Kuro said. "The quicker we get them, the quicker we leave, and find Ben and the Love Pirates," Kuro added.
As they wandered through the quiet and worn out streets, their footsteps echoing against the cobblestones, the crew found themselves met with little of interest. They saw a modest display of food items laid out upon the worn wooden counter. The offerings were limited. They could see several skewers of grilled meat sizzled enticingly over a small charcoal grill.
"This is the final of the day," the stall owner said.
"Let's take this," Kuro replied. "We are not finding anything else here," he added.
Hunger gnawed at their stomachs. "I feel hungry," Eldoraggo commented.
"Hold it right there," a voice was heard. "Those are ours," he said. They all turned to look to a see a tall, muscular man with light skin and short spiky bright red hair. He has dark reddish, purple-coloured lips, orange eyes and his fingernails were painted black. He wore a black and yellow lizard-print pants, motorcycle boots. and had gold bangles around both wrists. He wore a pair of studded, square shaped yellow goggles with purple lenses on his forehead, and a large fur captain's coat over his bare muscular torso.
"Captain Kid said so," said a man with long light blue, shaggy hair. His mouth stretches to the sides of his face. He had black sunken eyes and visible bone ridges on his forehead. There are stitched scars on his chin. He wore a dark blue corset laced with red string, red pants, and long brown boots.
"That is right Heat, it is our food," said a tall man wearing a dark brown headdress, a wire shirt, black shorts, and black fishnet stockings. He had droopy eyes.
"Yes, Wire, our Captain claimed it," said a muscular man with fair skin. He had long wild messy blonde hair. He wore a plain, white and light-blue striped full-head helmet with many rows of holes in it. The man wore a black shirt with white polka-dots and blue-grey pants. He added, "Some of them have bounties."
"They may have Killer but the food is ours," Kid commented, looking at Captain Morgan, Pin Joker, Kuro, Eldoraggo, Gasparde, and Needles. "Go get our food," Kid ordered.
Next to Killer, there was a tall man with a blonde mohawk. He wore black glasses. He had a jacket and blue jeans.
"Yes Captain," a Wire and Heat replied. The five of them walked slowly towards them.
"Who are these clowns?" Morgan asked.
"They look like some kids," Kuro replied, touching his glasses.
"Kids who don't know this world," Gasparde said.
"I know this world," Kid laughed. "But you don't," he added.
Killer jumped into the air. The pair of gauntlets he wore extended and scythe-like blades appeared. He was about to slash down when Needles took his hooked claws out and clashed. Killer and Needles looked at each other and they jumped back.
"My hunch was right, you are Needles with a bounty of 57,000,000 Beli," Killer said.
"So we have some small fry," Kid said as he started to gather metal on his hand.
