Chapter 247 - Chapter 247: Jungle with Strawhats

Meanwhile on the Going Merry they had just left the spiral waves and launched into the air. The Strawhats had landed on the white-white sea.

"We made it," Luffy shouted.

"That was scary," Nami cried.

"That old granny was weird," Zoro said and added, "She was taking our picture."

"She was probably taking my picture so the ladies know I am here," Sanji remarked. He had hearts in his eyes.

"That was not the reason," Nami said as she kicked Sanji. "But why was she?" Name muttered.

"Ben did not mind. They just went through," Usopp remarked.

"Where is Ben anyways? We don't see them," Nami remarked. She thought it may be better to keep an eye on him to make sure he does not do anything inappropriate.

Luffy looked around. "I don't see them," Luffy remarked.

At that moment, the waves broke apart. A gigantic shrimp emerged from the waves. It placed the Going Merry on top of its back. The  gigantic shrimp used its giant pincers to move and hold the Going Merry. The gigantic shrimp had black eyes with green pupils. The word "GOD" was written on its forehead.

Zoro jumped from the Going Merry. He pulled out his sword and attempted to slash the shrimp. It did no damage. Luffy jumped in the air. "Gomu Gomu no Gatling," Lufffy said. He stretched his arms back and launched a flurry of punches at the shrimp. It did no damage.

Sanji ran up and jumped. He put his leg forward and came down and kicked the shrimp. It did not damage.

They all looked down. "This thing is like the shrimp which took us up," Nami commented.

"But bigger," Chopper added. He had tears in his eyes.

Suddenly the gigantic shrimp moved across the white-white sea at full speed. "Hold on," Zoro said.

"Shishishishi," Luffy laughed as he grabbed onto the pincers.

"I am going to fall," Nami said as she grabbed a railing.

"I will save you Nami-swan," Sanji remarked.

"I don't need saving from you," Nami replied.

"We are going to die," Usopp shouted as he held on to a rope.

"I don't want to die," Chopper added.

The gigantic shrimp took them at high speed towards an island. There were numerous large green trees on the island. They went down a river at high speed. Luffy was smiling.

In front of them was a large altar. It was carved from solid stone. At the forefront of the altar was a broad staircase that ascended dramatically, leading to the elevated platform upon which the altar rests. Each step is hewn from the same rugged stone as the altar itself, their edges worn smooth by countless footsteps over the centuries. There were two torches ablaze at the top.

The gigantic shrimp threw the Going Merry onto the top of the altar. Zoro, Luffy and Sanji jumped back to the Going Merry. They landed on the top of the altar.

"That was fun," Luffy remarked with his trademark grin.

Nami's patience, already stretched thin, snapped at Luffy's remark. With a swift punch, she silenced him. "No, it was not," she retorted sharply.

"Where are we?" Usopp asked. He looked around to see they were in the middle of a lake with large trees surrounding them. The trunks of the tree were large and wide.

"It looks like a sacrificial altar," Sanji remarked as he looked around.

"Nami, what is a sacrificial altar?" Chopper asked, standing on the rail of the Going Merry.

"It means being sacrificed alive to a god," Nami replied.

"Is that all?" Chopper said and added, "I thought it meant to be boiled alive."

"It could mean that," Zoro said.

"What?" Chopper panicked as he fell down the Going Merry. He went rolling down the stairs towards the lake.

Luffy, Zoro and Sanji saw this. Luffy stretched his arm and grabbed Chopper before he fell into the lake. Chopper was relieved.

A large blue shark, sleek and powerful, breached the water with effortless grace. With razor-sharp teeth and a menacingly elongated jaw, the shark exuded an aura of primal strength. Its steely gaze, as cold and calculating as the depths from which it emerged, fixated unwaveringly on its unsuspecting prey.

"A sky shark," Nami exclaimed.

Zoro and Sanji rushed towards the shark. Zoro took his two swords out. Sanji raised his foot. Zoro lashed the shark. At the same time Sanji kicked the shark. The shark went tumbling back into the water.

"That was close," Usopp remarked. Sanji and Zoro stood on the stairs. They looked around to several other fins lurking on  the surface of the cloudy water.

"There are more," Sanji remarked.

Usopp jumped off the Going Merry. "It looks like there is a bit more damage to the hull," Usopp noted.

Nami looked at the damage. The wood had cracked completely. "We will not be able to sail with this damage," Nami remarked. She had a concerned look.

"I will get the tool box out," Usopp said.

"I can help," Chopper added as he rushed up the stairs. He thought he had seen death.

"I want to explore this island. It looks cool," Luffy declared with his usual enthusiasm, his eyes sparkling with excitement at the prospect of adventure.

In a swift move, Luffy seized his unsuspecting crewmates - Nami, Zoro, and Sanji - with one hand, their protests falling on deaf ears. With a casual flick of his other hand, he propelled them and himself across the lake, their startled cries echoing through the air as they soared through the sky and landed unceremoniously on the island's shore.

"Luffy, you idiot," Sanji cursed under his breath, his frustration evident in the sharpness of his tone.

"You could have killed us!" Nami admonished, her voice a mix of indignation and exasperation.

Luffy's laughter rang out, carefree and unapologetic, as he reveled in the thrill of the moment.

"Stop laughing," Zoro interjected. They all sighed knowing this was their Captain.

"Usopp, Chopper, try to fix the ship we will back," Luffy said.

"Okay," Usopp agreed. He smiled, it was better being here on this ship then with them in the jungle. Nami looked upset that she was there.
