Chapter 62 - Empty Shell

Ara's cries echoed in my head as players swarmed her, their laughter and chaos like a sickening backdrop. I fought against the chains, but it was like wrestling a never-ending nightmare.

Closing my eyes didn't silence the voices.

"Let me go!"

"Why are you doing this to me?"

"I'm so scared."

"Please help me."

It echoed in my mind; I couldn't see what was coming, but not watching felt like a sin in this messed-up garden I'd cultivated.

You reap what you sow.

In a bloodshot rage, I roared, "Enough! You scumbags! She's innocent! If you want revenge, come at me!" Their laughter just added fuel to the wildfire of desperation and fury within me.

I didn't know why they did this horrifying thing!? Do they even care about their members?! Or was it what they called "have fun". 

'Damn it, Tiamat. Hurry up with that hack!' I screamed in my mind, but either she didn't hear or her voice drowned in Ara's suffering.
