Chapter 4 - Chapter of Flames and Passion - Act 4

Act 4 - "Disaster at the Banquet"

A few weeks has passed since Fuubuki was accepted into the royal castle. All this time, he's fulfilled his duty well, however it wasn't that evident yet as there hasn't been any serious attempts on the life of the princess.

Today, a huge celebration is occurring in the castle's grand hall. It was the special day of none other than the future monarch of Ignia, Princess Akagi.

A lot of the country's nobles have gathered in the grand hall, chatting with each other over some glasses of the finest drinks. There were no less than a hundred attendees in this gathering as they celebrate the birthday, and coming of age of their beloved princess Akagi.

King Helios stands in the entrance of the hall, entertaining the guests one by one to show his appreciation of their attendance. One particular entourage catches his eye.

"Oh! Glad to see you could make it Count Mephisto!" he greeted to a plump old man with a wide mustache. He extended his hand towards him to offer a handshake.

"Why of course, I wouldn't miss such an occassion for the world," Mephisto said, returning the greeting, and accepting the handshake.

As the two of them were giving each other their kind gestures, a handsome young man went and offered a bottle of wine to King Helios.

"Please accept this small gift of ours, your majesty. A bottle of the finest wine, made from the freshest grapes cultivated in the domain of Mother Gaea," the young man said.

"Oh? Is this young Zanoba?" King Helios asked as he set his eyes on the young man with an impressed look.

"Well, well, I am glad to know that you still remember my pride, and joy, your highness. Indeed, it is Zanoba, my dear son. He's been working hard these past few years to become my successor," Mephisto bragged.

"He's grown into quite the handsome man as well. He looks just like you in your younger days."

"You give me too much credit, your highness," Zanoba smiled bashfully although he seemed to have taken the compliment quite well.

"You know, your highness, my son has actually been wanting to meet the princess for a long time now. However, because of his diligence in his responsibilities, he couldn't spare the time to meet her. But of course I couldn't let him miss her coming of age of all things so I had to drag him all the way here. Well? Is she here yet?"

"Haha, not yet. She's still preparing herself for her grand entrance. She wants to look her best for her special day. Although, she might be going a bit overboard. Takes after her mother," Helios chuckled.

"Oh that's fine, I have all evening to have a chance to interact with her," Zanoba replied with a soft smile.

"Well, I won't keep you standing here any longer. Please make your way inside and enjoy the refreshments. I still have other visitors to greet after all."

"That's quite fine, your highness. We'll enjoy our time here before the main event starts."

The father-son nobles then proceeded inside the hall. The father's face immediately twisted into a stern look as they finally left the king's presence.

"I believe I no longer need to tell you what you should do, my boy," Mephisto spoke with a heavy voice but only loud enough for his son to hear.

"Yes father," Zanoba meekly replied.

"You must capture the princess' heart at any cost. Only then can we finally start with our plan to insert our blood to the royal bloodline."

Zanoba silently nods in response.

"Failure will not be tolerated. Understand?!"

"I understand, father."

As they finished their small conversation, the father's face switched back to his friendly expression as they went to chat with another noble family.

Meanwhile, as the celebration was proceeding in the grand hall, Fuubuki was outside the princess' room, standing in wait with his arms crossed.

He could hear the shuffling inside the room, and the maids' voice as they give their praises to the princess.

"My, she looks absolutely wonderful!"

"Just like her mother!"

"I bet she'll get a lot of suitors after tonight. Oh I can't wait!"

Such were the words of the maids inside the room.

Fuubuki paced back and forth in front of the door. The restlessness was getting to him as he was about to get involved in a huge celebration, something he hadn't experienced before. There was also the issue of being forced to act in a certain way as to not make Akagi look bad.

After a while, the door swung open and Fuubuki's gaze reflexively turned towards it. Standing between the doors was Akagi who was dressed up elegantly. Her hair was neatly tied up into a bun with a few loose strands hanging on the sides of her face.

She wore a rose-colored gown that contrasts the dark color of her crimson hair. Her make-up was expertly done with the dark shadows on her eyes, and the rosy color of her lips and cheeks, completing the perfect getup of the birthday celebrant.

Fuubuki stared at her in silence as she stepped outside.

"Well? What do you think?" Akagi smugly asked her bodyguard.

"Hmm?" Fuubuki replied in a confused tone, seemingly unaware of what she was asking about.

"Ugh. I'm asking what do you think about my look, you idiot. Oh who am I kidding, why am I even asking for your opinion?" Akagi grunted. Her face contorted into an angry one but she immediately tried to put on a pleasant face as to not get too stressed in her special day.

"Ok calm down, calm down. No need to get stressed over nothing. This is my birthday. That's right. I should be happy. Happy," she said to herself, trying to keep out the negative thoughts.

"Come on now. Also, try not to step on my dress okay?"

With that, the two of them made their way to the grand hall. A maid ran ahead of them to inform the king of her incoming presence. Knights started filing out of the entrance of the hall and raised their swords in the air, preparing for the procession.

King Helios stood on his throne with both Captain Griffon and Kuroe on either of his sides.

The visitors all patiently wait for the subject of the night to arrive as the elegant tunes of the ballroom music plays in the background.

A few moments later...

"Ladies, and gentlemen, I would like to present to you, the lady herself. Our beloved princess, and tonight's dear celebrant: Lady Akagi Vulpes Ignia!"

As the announcer called for her name, Akagi graced the grand hall with her presence. Everyone's attentions were directed on her. Men were entranced, and women admired her beauty, and elegance.

Akagi flashed a smile to her visitors as she made her way to the stage where her father was waiting.

As all of this processional took place, Fuubuki tailed behind Akagi, keeping a certain distance away as to not share her spotlight. He wasn't stealing any attention as everyone was too distracted by the princess herself to care about his presence.

"Amazing! My expectations were blown out of the water! So this is the princess..."

Mephisto, and Zanoba were watching from somewhere within the crowd. Zanoba couldn't help but admire the princess as the processional continued, meanwhile his father had that stern look on his face once again.

"My son, you better act fast before anyone can. You're going to have lots of competitors with this one," Mephisto whispered.

"And don't forget about the plan," he added.

He waited for Zanoba's response but as he looked at him, he was too busy gaping his mouth wide open in awe as he watched the procession without losing focus.

"Zanoba!" Mephisto raised his voice a bit, still not loud enough to be overheard.

"Huh? Uh, yeah! Right! Of course!" Zanoba replied in a flustered voice as he was caught daydreaming.

Soon enough, Akagi has reached the stage, making her way up the platform as she stood before the king. She made a quick curtsy bow before looking at her father with a gentle look.

The king then took a deep breath as he prepared to deliver his heartfelt message to his daughter. The music in the room turned silent as the king delivers his speech.

"My daughter. It has been sixteen years since you have been brought to us in this world. Can you believe it? It has already been that long. It was only a shame that your mother cannot join us in this milestone of your life, but I am quite sure she is happily watching over you beside our creator, the White Sovereign."

King Helios looked up above before he continued.

"Freya. Our daughter is all grown up now, but I believe she still is in need of your guiding hands as she moves forwards. Please, continue watching over her."

His gaze then returns to Akagi.

"And with that, let me once again greet you a wonderful happy birthday, my daughter! With that, everyone, I now announce that our great celebration has officially started! Eat! Drink! And enjoy each others' company in this wonderful night!" Helios exclaimed as he raised his glass of wine in the air.

His gestured was followed by every person in the room. They all held their glasses up in the air to cheer for their princess.

"A wonderful birthday to you, our future queen!" they cheered altogether accompanied with a loud round of applause. The elegant music turned back on as the visitors now began socializing with one another.

Akagi's friends happily made their way up the stage to give the celebrant a more personal greeting.

"Happy Birthday to you Akagi!"

"Congratulations as well to becoming of age!" they exclaimed while giving her an excited hug.

With the king's message now over, Fuubuki then quickly made his way back to Akagi's side. Akagi's friends gave him the flirty look as he approached them, meanwhile Akagi's expression on the other hand was more of an annoyance.

"Hey, this is a celebration you know? How about you take it easy and stop following me around for a while. Just for this night. Shouldn't be too hard, no?" she said.

"You can never be too sure," Fuubuki replied briefly.

"Ugh. Can you please not be so stubborn just for this night? You're really going to ruin my special day," Akagi snapped back, trying not to raise her voice too much.

"But..."

"It's fine. Leave her on her own for now, young Fuubuki," King Helios interjected just before the situation escalates.

"The knights are on strict patrol right now. Be at ease, the whole place is protected as of this moment. Besides, all eyes are on her. No one would dare make a move on her like this," he added as he placed his hand above Fuubuki's shoulder.

"..."

"See? Even father thinks you're being too paranoid. Well then, let's go you two," Akagi led her two friends down on the floor to join the rest of the visitors in the occasion.

Fuubuki watched in silence as the three of them disappeared into the crowd, leaving him with the king and his two most trusted subordinates.

"She'll be fine. You worry too much," Helios reassured him.

"Exactly. The knights are on full alert. They're going to have to do something extremely crazy to get past our defenses, however by that point they would've been noticed already." Griffon added.

"Am I... overdoing it?" Fuubuki asked. His voice sounded like he was having self doubt after all this time on his duties.

"Don't think about it too much. It's just for the night."

"Your highness. Am I doing a good job as a bodyguard?" Fuubuki said as he turned to face the king. His face was devoid of emotion, but Helios could clearly tell the self-doubt budding in his eyes, eating away his once confident personality.

"You're doing well young man. I appreciate how you've been keeping an eye out for my daughter, I really do. She's the only one I have left, so my gratitude for you is really overflowing. I know I sprung this up on you all of a sudden but despite that, you have surpassed my expectation"

"But... I feel like I haven't really been doing much. I feel... unneeded. In fact I feel more like a nuisance to her."

"Is it because of how she acts around you?"

Fuubuki nods.

"You worry too much, young man. I know my daughter well. I can tell that's not the case at all. I am quite sure she appreciates you being at her side at all times."

"I don't buy it," Fuubuki said, turning back around as his gaze wanders within the hall, searching for Akagi.

"Oh really? Well then, tell me, how has her nights been lately. You sleep in the same room right?"

"Her... nights?" His gaze settles as he saw her from afar, socializing with a group of nobles.

"Yes. How are her nights? Were they sleepless? Are there any moments where she wakes up all of a sudden and starts screaming?"

"No... I don't think that happened yet."

"Really now? The Akagi I know would always find it hard to sleep after a terrifying experience. And wasn't she just kidnapped recently?"

"...That's why I'm here..."

"See? The fact that she's sleeping peacefully these past few days means she feels safe around you," Helios said with a smile as he also set his gaze towards Akagi.

"I see..." a sigh of relief escaped Fuubuki's lips.

"Take it easy for now. You deserve a well-earned rest. Enjoy the party, young Fuubuki," Helios chuckled as he let go of Fuubuki's shoulder and went down the stage to join the party.

"..." Fuubuki's sights were still focus on Akagi. For a brief second there, he noticed that Akagi's gaze met his but she quickly looked away, embarassed. After a while, he finally decided to follow the king's advice and lowered his guard for the night.

He went down the stage and made his way to the dining table filled with all sorts of food.

"Guess I'll eat for now."

Meanwhile...

On the other side of the grand hall, Akagi was with her friends who were having a lively chat with a group of young nobles, glasses in hand. However, they seem to notice that Akagi looked distracted somehow.

"-gi? Akagi? Hey Akagi!"

Akagi looked around, slightly surprised by her friend's loud call. It was as if she had woken up from a daydream.

"Hey, Akagi are you paying attention?" her friend asked.

"Oh uh... I'm fine. Sorry."

"Hm? Oh? Looking for your knight in shining armor aren't you?"

"I'm not! Ahem... I mean... I am not. Please stop with the teasing, Emilia," Akagi said as her voice shifted down.

"Well, whatever you say. Anyways, so as I was saying, our friend here wanted to meet you for a while now. He just returned from a visit abroad. Why don't you introduce yourself Zanoba?"

Akagi's eyes went wide in excitement as she heard the term 'abroad', her interest was immediately piqued by this Zanoba guy.

"Why thank you for that little assistance in my introduction, Emilia. Although come on, it was just a little vacation. No need to talk about it as if it were some big deal," Zanoba chuckled as he stepped forth to show himself to the princess.

"Greetings Mi'lady, I am Zanoba von Cindre, eldest son of the Cindre household under Duke Mephisto," the young lad greeted as he grabbed Akagi's hand and gave a curtsy kiss to the back of her hand as a greeting.

"My, what a polite man. And quite handsome too. The pleasure is all mine," Akagi greeted back with a bow.

"So, they said you just came back from a trip beyond our borders. What was it like outside?" she asked with an enthusiastic voice.

"Oh? Do you have a great interest beyond our lands, your highness?" Zanoba smiled.

"Well you see... I have actually never left our borders so I wonder what the outside world is like..."

Just then, the music in the hall grew vibrant. The nobles looked excited as it was time for their dance. Young men from each households began inviting each young ladies to become their dance partners.

The grownups also joined in on the dance floor as they invite their spouses for another dance in their life, showing how well established these households are.

"The main event has begun. If you want to hear more about my exploits, why not join me for a dance, your highness?" Zanoba offered his hand unto the princess, claiming the honor to become her first dance.

"Oh my, how could I refuse such an offer?" Akagi answered as she placed her hand over Zanoba's

The two of them then slowly made their way to the middle of the floor. Akagi's friends watched in amusement as their precious princess was taken away from them.

The surrounding young nobles also watched in envy as they saw that the star of the night already got her dance partner. Nevertheless, no one made a commotion about it as to not ruin the atmosphere of the party.

As the two reached center stage, they briefly separated for a bit and gave each other a curtsy bow, syncing along with the rhythm of the music. The two then began their dance, accompanied by the other pairs in the room.

Zanoba then began narrating to her his experiences in the outside world. Akagi looked like she was having the time of her life, listening to his tales while having their moment. Attraction started showing on the face of Akagi as not only was her partner good-looking, but his gentlemanly manners, and the experiences that he told were making her heart beat stronger than normal.

On the other side of the hall...

Fuubuki was stuffing himself with the foods lying around on the dining table, although he did try his best not to look like a slob in his eating spree. It was as if he regained his vigor back when he was still a thief.

As the dance proceeded, Fuubuki felt like it sounded familiar to him.

"This music..." the memories of him and Akagi practicing the dance a few days ago then flashed across his mind. This was the exact same music back then.

His eyes wandered around instinctively as if he suddenly remembered his duty. He then caught sight of Akagi enjoying the moment, dancing with a young man he doesn't remember seeing before. Nevertheless, he sighed in relief as he saw her still completely safe.

"Looks like I really am worrying too much."

Just as he left his sights off from her, he noticed the cold gazes of some nobles around. They were looking at him with utter contempt as if they were seeing an insignificant insect.

"Mm... Guess I overstayed my welcome. Oh well, I'll go find some quiet spot to eat."

He already knew why he was getting so many stares. Of course, what was a street rat like him doing in a party for the elite? Not to mention, he was touching their food.

At the very least, Fuubuki decided to leave the room for now, but he wouldn't just give up his meal as simple as that. He grabbed a pair of plate and stacked as many of the delicacies as he could, holding a literal mountain of food in each hand. With that, he then made his way out of the hall.

"Why is a peasant here?"

"That's him right? That thief?"

"Disgusting creature. What a glutton as well. What was the king thinking letting that abomination in here?"

"Ugh, I just lost my appetite. Guess I'll skip the foods."

Voices of disdain could be heard coming from the nobles who saw Fuubuki just now.

Akagi noticed the somehow sour mood and briefly turned her head to the direction of the collective voices. She saw a glimpse of Fuubuki's back leaving the hall. A strange stinging sensation seemed to have struck her chest with that sight. She lowered her head down a bit.

"Hmm? What's wrong? You suddenly have an unpleasant look on your face," Zanoba asked as he noticed the sudden expression change on his dance partner.

"Huh? Oh uh... nothing. Sorry, I just got distracted for a bit there. Don't mind me."

"That's not a good look for the birthday girl you know? How about a wider smile? Come on, do it for me. Just like this."

Zanoba displayed a gentle smile to Akagi, to which she tried forcing the same smile herself. Thankfully, she was able to pull off a convincing enough smile with her eyes closed.

As she opened her eyes, Zanoba's expression seemed to have became serious, or rather slightly afraid, as if he had seen a ghost.

"Mm? What's wrong? You look like you're the one who looks distracted now," Akagi teased.

"Hehe. I'm sorry. Yes, something just caught my attention," Zanoba nervously chuckled.

"Ohh what is it?"

"No, don't worry about it. It's nothing. Anyways the first part of the dance is about to end right?"

"Huh? Oh, yeah right. Any second now. Why?" Akagi tilted her head curiously. The music seem to be nearing its conclusion now as it changes its pace, signalling it reaching its bridge.

"Apologies but I need to use the restroom a bit after this," Zanoba let out a slightly embarassed smile.

"Oh! Hehe, no problem at all," Akagi laughed as if finding Zanoba's excuse unexpectedly funny.

As the music reached its conclusion, the pairs all gave their partners a bow.

"Well then, I'll be going ahead."

"Yeah, catch you later."

Akagi then returned to her friends as Zanoba briskly walked out of the hall.

"So? How was it with prince charming?" Emilia teased.

"Oh stop it you," Akagi snapped back with a bashful look.

"Still isn't that quite fast? What's wrong? Did it not go well?" asked her other friend, Ruby.

"Oh no, he just needed to use the restroom. He'll be back shortly. Anyway what was that commotion earlier? I swear the mood suddenly got sour for a moment there," Akagi asked with genuine curiosity.

"You heard that huh? You have very good ears. Well, to me it looks like the visitors were bothered by your dashing bodyguard. Although it seems he noticed it and left the room voluntarily. Poor guy," Emilia said as she shook her head in pity.

Akagi's gaze were directed to the hall's exit once again. The stinging sensation in her chest returned.

Meanwhile...

Fuubuki had just finished eating his takeaways in his favorite spot. He was sitting on the hanging branch, gazing up at the sky with an empty look on his face.

It has been a while since he got some time for himself. He doesn't particularly have any hobby, but sitting on a high place and staring at the sky was his way of keeping himself occupied.

After a while, he was about to stand up and head back to the party, but then he noticed a presence behind him.

"Hm? It's that guy..."

He saw Zanoba, standing behind a tree from his view. However, it seems like his attention isn't directed to him, but rather towards someone else. Fuubuki sneakily makes his way to the tree, making sure to lie low on the grass to get a better look at the situation.

"I already got her attention. The plan can now proceed to the next stage," Zanoba said with a low voice.

"Good. Do you have the antidote with you?" a voice replied. The voice seemed familiar to Fuubuki but he couldn't quite figure it out. It sounded androgynous so even the gender was hard to tell for him.

"Yeah, I got a full bottle of Mother Gaea's Elixir. That should be enough right?"

"Right. Should be. Here."

Fuubuki heard the swishing of a liquid inside the container. From what it sounded like, something seemed to have been passed over.

"What a strange liquid..."

"Make sure she drinks every single drop. I don't care what you do. Remember, failure is not an option."

"Y-yeah... got it..."

"Good. Now go. Before they get suspicious. What excuse did you even say anyway?"

"That I will go to the restroom?"

"Hah... you fool. You barely bought any time for yourself. Go!" the voice sighed.

A few moments later, Fuubuki heard the sound of footsteps trampling on the grass getting further and further away, signalling that Zanoba has left already. However, he only heard a single pair of footsteps.

"Only one of them left?" he whispered under his breath.

"But... I can't feel the presence of anyone else..."

Fuubuki then slowly tried to take a look at the other side of the tree to see if someone else was there. To his surprise, it seems he was already all alone in that area. He tried looking around to see any suspicious person. However the only one he saw was Zanoba, running back to the castle.

"No, what am I doing! Something's going on here! I have to hurry back!"

Back at the party...

Akagi was having a friendly chat with her circle of friends over a few snacks. There was quite a huge crowd surrounding her, mostly young men who wanted to impress her.

Just then, Zanoba pushed his way through the crowd, holding a glass of wine on each hand. Akagi saw him and a smile formed on her face as she was approached.

"Sorry about that. I cleaned myself up a bit before I came to face you again," Zanoba smiled.

"Oh how considerate of you! And those are?" Akagi asked as her sights set on what Zanoba was holding.

"Ah yes, I also got ourselves a glass of wine I brought from my visit to the Gaea region. Here."

Zanoba handed over one of the glasses to Akagi. She then graciously accepted it as she looked at the contents from the side.

"From the... Gaea region?" she asked curiously.

"Yes, their lands are the best for cultivating all kinds of natural resources. As expected of the domain of Mother Gaea, and the country of life. This wine was made said to said to be made from the best raw products, harvested from the personal garden of Mother Gaea. Costed quite a fortune honestly."

"Woah..." Akagi just kept staring at amazement at the wine. The color was just too mesmerizing to take her eyes off of.

"Hehe. What's wrong? Have you never drunken such fine wine before?"

"Oh uh... no I actually haven't. This is a first for me..."

"Well, I pity any wine that dare to impress your taste later on as this will make your standards so high, nothing else will satisfy you," Zanoba proudly declared.

"Ooh. Now you got my interest. Well then I'll-"

As Akagi was about to place the glass near her lips, her hand was suddenly stopped.

"What the! You?!" Akagi looked at the owner of the hand and saw Fuubuki looking at her with a serious look.

"My, it's Mr. Bodyguard. What a surprise," one of Akagi's friends remarked.

"Hmm? Bodyguard? Ah yes, he was the one in the entrance ceremony earlier. What's wrong? You have any problem with my little offering?" Zanoba said kindly as he tried to hide the nervousness from his voice.

Fuubuki however didn't bother sparing any attention to those around him. His sights were only set on Akagi.

"I thought I told you to leave me alone just for today?! What is your problem? You would dare to ruin my special day?!" Akagi said out loud. She tried to hold back her voice but the frustration got the better of her. Some of the guests noticed the commotion and came to take a look.

"This drink is laced with poison. Don't drink it!" Fuubuki asserted.

The mood suddenly got tense after Fuubuki's revelation. Akagi looked at him with disbelief while her friends were starting to look worried.

"I saw him earlier. He took some strange thing from someone else. They were talking about making sure to have you drink it all," Fuubuki added as he tried to take the glass from Akagi's hand.

Zanoba then started to feel uneasy. His mind was panicking at the thought that he had been caught red-handed. But he calmed himself down as to not look suspicious.

"Good heavens, you have a very active imagination don't you? Haha," he said trying to laugh it off. His mind went into overdrive, thinking up of excuses in case he got questioned. But to his surprise-

SMACK

A loud slap was heard throughout the entire room. Akagi had let go of her glass, but she used the same hand to deliver a strong slap onto Fuubuki's cheek.

"Are you hearing yourself right now? I can't believe you. You would really do anything to ruin my night wouldn't you?" Akagi said to Fuubuki with a voice that sounded like she was about to burst into tears.

Fuubuki's head was moved a bit with that slap. The slap was not that strong for him, but somehow it hurt more than the punch he received from Griffon back then.

He looked at Akagi's almost crying face as he hold the glass in his hand.

"..."

"Can you even prove what you're saying? You're embarassing me in front of my friends you know. Honestly, what was my father thinking taking you in?"

"But it really was poisoned... I'm only thinking about your safety... I don't understand... why am I being scolded?"

"Then prove it! Prove that it was poisoned! I dare you!" Akagi shouted at the top of her lungs. The commotion has gained more and more attention. The knights, Kuroe, and even King Helios watched from afar as the situation got worse.

"Fine..."

To everyone's surprise, Fuubuki raises the glass to his lips and downs it all in one go. All the contents of the glass enters his mouth, and down his throat as he makes one loud gulp.

"You-!"

"!!!"

Akagi, and Zanoba both looked at him with utter bewilderment. Without hesitation, he just drunk all of it, the supposed poisoned drink. All to prove his point.

"I can't believe you... you really are trying to embarass me are you!"

Fuubuki stared back at her with an empty look in his eyes. He could see Akagi's angry face and the continuous blabbering of her mouth. But strangely enough... he doesn't hear her. There was only... the constant ringing in his ears.

"Are you happy now with what you've done? Oh I see now, you just wanted the drink! Of course! You're a glutton aren't you? You should've just--"

COUGH

As Akagi was mouthing off, she stopped after her face was suddenly sprayed by Fuubuki's sudden loud cough. However, instead of disgust, all she felt was horror... as her face was splattered with the warm feeling of blood.

"cough cough!" Fuubuki began to cough violently, doubling over as it became too much for him to bear.

He dropped the glass with the drink on the floor. It landed with a loud crash as it shattered to pieces, meanwhile Fuubuki kept going lower and lower, not only that but his body was rapidly decaying. His arms, legs, and body began to thin down. His skin also grew pale for every second that passes. Finally, he let out one final cough, vomiting blood for the last time as he lay motionless on the floor afterwards.

Silence filled the room afterwards. Akagi looked with wide eyes at the shriveled up body of Fuubuki lying on the floor, painted with the crimson color of his blood.

"Ah-"

"AHHHHH!!!!!!" she screamed in horror, her voice echoed throughout the whole castle.
