As Jihoon and Jake strolled toward the cafeteria, Jake rambled about the best food options, oblivious to the group of alphas leaning against the nearby wall. Their cocky postures and self-assured smirks instantly set Jihoon on edge. He tightened his grip on his bag, hoping to pass without incident.
"Hey, isn't that Jihoon?" one of the alphas sneered, his voice laced with mockery. Lee Sakyoung, the ringleader, pushed off the wall and strode toward them, his smug grin widening as he eyed Jihoon.
"Oh, look who it is. The omega everyone can't stop talking about," Sakyoung drawled, his tone dripping with condescension.
Jihoon ignored him, keeping his gaze forward. Jake muttered under his breath, "Just keep walking. Don't give him the satisfaction."
But Sakyoung wasn't one to be ignored. He stepped directly into Jihoon's path, blocking his way. "What's the rush? Let's talk."
"I'm not interested," Jihoon replied coldly, attempting to sidestep him.
Sakyoung wasn't deterred. He grabbed Jihoon's arm, pulling him closer with a smirk. "Come on, don't be like that. I'm just trying to be friendly. You should be honored I'm giving you attention."
Jihoon froze for a moment, his jaw tightening. Jake immediately stepped forward. "Let go of him, Sakyoung. Now."
Sakyoung chuckled darkly, completely ignoring Jake. "Relax. I'm just saying hello."
Jihoon's patience snapped. Without a word, he swung his fist, landing a clean punch right across Sakyoung's face.
The impact was immediate. Sakyoung stumbled backward, clutching his nose as blood trickled down. Gasps rippled through the surrounding crowd, and several students whipped out their phones, recording the scene.
"You punched me?" Sakyoung hissed, his voice dripping with disbelief and fury. "You dare—"
Jihoon cut him off, his voice cold and steady. "Touch me again, and I'll do worse."
Sakyoung's shock quickly turned into rage. He lunged toward Jihoon, but Jihoon was faster. With precise movements, he grabbed Sakyoung by the arm, twisted it, and flipped him over onto the ground with a loud thud.
Sakyoung groaned in pain, writhing as he clutched his back. The crowd erupted into cheers and jeers, mocking the alpha.
"An omega just took you down? Pathetic!" someone laughed.
"Maybe he should transfer to the omega dorms after this!" another taunted.
Jihoon stood over Sakyoung, his expression icy. "Maybe next time, think twice before underestimating someone."
Sakyoung's friends, angered and embarrassed by the scene, stepped forward to defend him. "You're going to regret that," one of them growled, clenching his fists.
Before they could make a move, Jake shoved Jihoon behind him, raising his arms. "Back off, or you'll be next."
The tension in the air thickened, but before anything could escalate further, a sharp voice cut through the noise.
"What's going on here?"
The crowd parted as two teachers marched over, their faces stern. The students immediately pocketed their phones, some dispersing in an attempt to avoid trouble.
"He started it!" one of Sakyoung's friends pointed at Jihoon.
Jihoon scoffed, his anger still simmering. "Really? Because I don't recall asking to be harassed."
"Enough!" one of the teachers barked. "All of you—disciplinary board. Now."
Sakyoung's friends grumbled but obeyed, helping him to his feet. He shot Jihoon a venomous glare. "This isn't over."
Jihoon didn't flinch. "Looking forward to it," he said coolly.
As they walked toward the administrative building under the teachers' watchful eyes, Jihoon's hands trembled with adrenaline. Jake leaned in, whispering, "What the hell was that? Since when can you throw people around like that?"
Jihoon exhaled sharply, trying to calm himself. "It's called self-defense, Jake. Not everyone sits back and takes crap from arrogant alphas."
Jake smirked, shaking his head in disbelief. "Well, remind me never to get on your bad side."
Jihoon didn't reply, his mind still replaying the incident. His anger hadn't completely subsided, but there was a small part of him that felt… satisfied.
"Still," Jake muttered as they reached the disciplinary office. "That was pretty too much ."
Jihoon glanced at him, lips twitching into a faint smile. "He should be happy that the professor arrived. Otherwise..."
