Chapter 3 - A Raven's Disguise

The room, lit only by a small light falling from the ceiling, was covered with different papers, photos maps. The only door into the room opened and a man walked in. Walking over to a table he picked up a photo and the articles linked to the person. Giving the photo a quick look, he threw it in a shredder standing next to the table leg. After that he threw the articles in and walked over to a massive whiteboard which dominated the left wall. Picking up a red pen, he crossed a name out, 'Takashi Kazuki'.

5 crossed out names now adorned the whiteboard, with more names under them. He looked to the next name under Takashi's. Walking back to the table he found his picture. Scoffing at the person on the picture, he looked outside.

The sun was beaming down with no clouds in sight. If it had been summer it would have been the perfect weather to go to the beach, but as all things did, the weather tricked you if you didn't have a simple understanding of the 4 seasons in the year. It was in the middle of January, it suited the man well.

He could disguise his eye and arm without getting weird looks. Walking out of the room, he closed the door behind him. The door blended right in with the wall. If you were standing in the room you wouldn't know that a secret door was right there.

The man walked over to a coat rack hanging besides another door, putting on the jacket that was hanging there. Putting on some gloves he disguised his glowing red arm and hand. The weather made some sunglasses the perfect hiding tool for his eyes. He looked in the mirror which stood on the ground on the corner between the coat rack and door. His hair was slicked back with only a couple of strands falling down on his forehead. His jacket could easily be mistaking for what a university athlete student would wear.

Putting on a fake smile he went out of the door. He walked down the hall towards the stairs. Before reaching the ground floor he bumped into the old woman who was living just one floor below him.

''Hello Sasaki-san, do you need help with carrying your groceries up?'' The woman looked to him with a stern look.

''How many times do I have to say that I can do it on my own. I might getting old, but that doesn't mean I don't have energy left in me.'' Her stern look completely gone, she gave him a sly smile. ''And don't bother with the formalities, you know I hate it. Ahh and don't come with an excuse I've known you for too long for you not to be calling me by name.''

''I will remember Emiko.'' The old woman smiled at him and pulled his cheek.

''That's better, now why don't you go out and enjoy the lovely weather, and leave me to my own devices.'' She gave him the classic grandmother smile. ''You might even meet someone interesting, it is about time, you shouldn't be alone all the time.''

He knew Emiko was looking out for his best. He gave a slight sigh ''Well how can I say no when it comes from you.'' He bend down a gave her little hug before walking towards the door.

''I'm expecting you to come down to me sometime, so I can make you some food, It's been so long.'' He smiled at her and waved acknowledging her words. As he went outside he was instantly met with the chill air. It didn't bother him.

Walking down the street he thought about the woman he had just conversed with. Emiko Sasaki was maybe one of the only people he cared about. She had been there for him as soon as he had moved into the apartment complex. He hadn't been very old before having to live alone, but Emiko Sasaki had welcomed him with open arms and had told him he could always go to her if there was a problem.

She had often invited him to eat a meal with her in her apartment, and soon she had become somewhat of a surrogate grandmother to him. But even so he kept things for her. He had told her his quirk made his left arm toxic, which was why he always had it covered up. As for his eye some contact lenses was all that was needed. He tried to use them as little as possible, they irritated his eye.

The street wasn't overly busy, but there was a fair few people walking about. Walking down the street he watched every single person walking by him. It was easier to go where you wanted if you displaced a kind and bright attitude. Looking forward he saw a green haired kid running towards him, well running might be a stretch. Acting like he hadn't seen him he kept walking towards him. It was clear that the kid was in his own world just trying to survive the run he was doing. Then collision. The kid stumbled backwards almost falling, only stopped by the right hand of the man he had run into.

''Sorry there kid, didn't see you, are you hurt?'' He asked with a kind and concerning tone.

''Ye-yeah I'm okay, I'm terribly sorry that I ran into you.'' He talked in a quick tone with a slight stutter, but the nervousness was almost dripping from his tongue. He kept bowing to show his apologies.

''Kid, don't think too much about, good luck with your run.'' He clapped him once on his shoulder and walked past him. 'He was indeed a interesting character' thought the man to himself. There had been something about him when he saw him, and you could say that it peaked his interest. The boy knew a secret about All Might.

The most powerful hero had an injury so bad he had two different states. That explained the lack of the hero's presence of late. He put that knowledge in the back of his head, right now he had a different job that needed to be done.

Walking for about 30 minutes he made his way to a small street. The buildings on either side of him showed a good deal of wear and tear. Now it was time to go to work. His smile disappeared, and replaced by the indifferent slit his mouth became when he stopped pretending. Sitting down on one of the steps of a metallic staircase, which connected the ground with the top floor, he took of his glasses. The red eye now clearly visible glowed as he put his covered hand over it.

A raven suddenly appeared in the sky flying down and settling itself on the man's shoulder. The raven also had a glowing red eye identical to the mans. There wasn't any verbal communication between the two, but it was clear if anyone had been there to witness it, that they had a deeper understanding of each other.

The raven then flew up again, this time landing on a window sill having direct vision into the opposing window. Another raven had settled on top of the building overlooking the door out of the apartments. They were his spies, his ever loyal soldiers.

These weren't jobs where human failure could be tolerated. His actions were directed by his cold logic, if they thought one step ahead, he thought 5 steps ahead, if they thought 5 he thought 10. Standing up and removing his hand from his eye, he put his sunglasses on again. Now the time for retribution would come. If it took only 2 days before everything was ready or if took up to a month he didn't care. These were his meticulous plans, where he had to know everything down to the last minute detail. But he already knew one thing. Now his plan was set in motion and nothing could stop it.
