Chereads / Legendary Lord of Omnipotence / Chapter 40 - The Smile Solution

Chapter 40 - The Smile Solution

The Third Elder was a tall and thin old man, with a mean face and mouth, and short silver-gray hair that was upside down at the roots.

  "Hmph!"

"City Lord Augustine, please don't mind, Third Elder Bulman's temper is just like that!" Byron slightly owed his body and respectfully explained.

With that appearance, it didn't give the slightest impression that he was a peak Legendary level powerhouse and the Grand Elder of the Dark Elf Clan's Council of Elders.

"Byron! Look at that disgusting look of yours!" Third Elder Boomer roared.

The remaining five Elders were each silent with their eyes on their noses and their noses on their mouths.

Third Elder Boman possessed upper Legendary rank strength and had a lower Legendary rank weapon, thus, he had repeatedly and openly challenged the authority of the Grand Elder.

"Elder Boman!" Byron's face was grim, and his gloomy eyes looked at the Third Elder, revealing a blistering killing intent in his eyes!

Being a great elder, strong and powerful, and yet so pouty was not a problem with Byron's character, but rather he had his own unavoidable hardships!

This Dark Elf tribe, in the beginning, did not have as many as seven branches. The original tribe was the 10,000 or so Dark Elves led by Byron, who defeated the Ogres that were entrenched here, thus occupying this dungeon.

Even, to this day, ogres come and harass them from time to time!

After all, the environment of the dungeon was too complicated, and it was not enough to completely clear out the ogres!

The Dark Elf tribe led by Byron resided thereafter, and the other six tribes successively discovered the dungeon as well. Due to the fact that they were all Dark Elves and the huge space of the dungeon, together with the more than half a million Dark Elves from those six tribes, it still seemed empty.

After the seven Dark Elves spent some time together, an alliance was finally proposed by Byron to form the Dark Elven Alliance.

After some scrambling, Byron's tribe, though the smallest in number, ended up sitting on the throne of the Grand Elder by virtue of the strong quality of the single soldier, as well as Byron's own strong strength!

After Byron came to power, he began to purge the ogres that gave the dark elves a headache, and then purged other dark creatures from the areas inhabited by the dark elves. After these two events, Byron's support increased rapidly throughout the Dark Elf Alliance, and his reputation was extremely prominent!

However, this time, Vince's arrival had caused Byron to go against the norm, and his attitude was deferential, one could even say fawning!

The Third Elder, who was bent on seizing power, popped out at once and stirred up the wind and rain!

"Byron, you're getting old! I don't think that you are fit to hold the position of Grand Elder anymore!" Third Elder Bumann glanced at Vince contemptuously, "What Augustine City Lord? A senior magician is just that! How dare you arrogantly call yourself a City Lord!"

Bumon's face changed and he smiled sarcastically as he looked at Vince, "Honorable Augustine City Lord, Third Elder Bumon is just a jerk, so don't see eye to eye with him."

Vince looked at Byron with a smile on his face, although he was not sure why Byron had lowered himself so much, he understood that Byron must have his own difficulties.

Otherwise, how could he have stooped so low?

He was the Grand Elder of the Council of Elders who was in charge of over half a million Dark Elves!

Boman looked over at Byron with an incredulous expression as if he never knew him, "Byron, what the hell happened to you?"

Vince looked to Third Elder Boman, "Elder Boman, you still haven't given me an answer as to why you invaded Miracle City?"

"Why? Hmph! Your Miracle City is so big, even though we are dark elves, we aspire to live in the sunlight!"

"Oh? Isn't the legend that Dark Elves like to live underground?" Vince was puzzled.

"Hahahahahaha~" Elder Bulman laughed out loud, "We are also an elf clan, how could we possibly like the underground! It's just that there aren't any cities that can accept Dark Elves on a large scale!"

"Then why don't you build your own city?"

"Building a city is that easy?" Bumon looked at Vince like he was an idiot.

Vince also idiotically looked at Boman, ''Right, building a city, is it that easy? The Miracle City has a budget of twenty billion gold coins, and the various types of magic minerals and gems consumed are worth about twelve billion gold coins after conversion. Designed to hold a population of ten million, with a floating population of ten million."

"Elder Boman, do you know what the concept of thirty two billion gold coins is?" Vince rubbed his fingers and smiled lightly, "Thirty-two billion gold coins to be able to hire an assassin to kill an upper Legendary level magician like you a thousand times!"

"Thirty-two billion dollars, capable of purchasing a hereditary earldom in any empire!"

"Thirty-two billion dollars to be able to form an elite force of 100,000 men and maintain expenses for thirty years!"

"Third Elder, now you know why Elder Byron is so afraid of me, even though I'm merely a senior magician!" Vince smiled as he looked at Boman and spoke a series of figures.

Bean-sized cold sweat broke out on Bumon's forehead and his face was pale, he was not an idiot, otherwise he would not have cultivated to the level of an upper Legendary level magician.

He hadn't personally examined the City of Miracles, he had only heard his men say that there were people building a city above the dungeon, and as he was a Dark Elf with an extreme yearning for a life on the ground, he threatened Scarface to lead a team to capture the City of Miracles in a moment of heat of the moment.

When hearing the details of the Miracle City at this moment, Boman finally understood why Byron had such a deferential attitude, such a behemoth appeared next to the dungeon, the slightest carelessness, the dungeon had the possibility of destruction!

"Your Excellency, Lord Augustine City Lord, I I I," Bumon, for a moment, was unable to find words to pray for forgiveness from the other party.

Vince turned his head, looking to Byron, "Grand Elder Byron, do you yearn for life above the earth?"

Byron's face changed drastically, fixedly looking at Vince, his heart miserable, originally thought that just compensating some supplies, he could get through the hard times.

Unexpectedly, Vince's appetite was so big that he actually wanted to swallow the entire Dark Elf tribe!

For a moment, Byron's face changed, one moment grim, one moment anxious, and finally only calm.

"Your Excellency Augustine City Lord, you have a big appetite!" Byron said with an expressionless face.

Vince laughed, "I have better teeth!"

"Could it be, Your Excellency Augustine, that you are not afraid of not being able to swallow?" Byron said wistfully.

"You wouldn't dare!" Vince took two steps towards Byron and gently patted his shoulder, "You're smart! And smart people, generally sensible, don't do irrational things."

Byron suddenly let out a breath, "Your Excellency Augustine, are you sure that Miracle City can accept all the Dark Elves?"

Vince smiled, thinking of the sight of the City of Origins, but then, he wouldn't declare it a permanently neutral city, wouldn't that be tying his own hands?

In this life, how difficult it was to regain strength, one had to attack the Abyss and break into the Time and Space Demon Realm to collect Space Arcane Stones!

Vince nodded his head and looked to the third elder, "Elder Boman, would you like to live in the City of Miracles?"

Elder Boman's expression changed, and in the end, this Upper Legendary level magician actually fell to his knees and said respectfully under his breath, "Your Excellency Lord Augustine, thank you for Your Excellency's generosity, I'm willing to follow you to the City of Miracles."

Byron looked at Bumon in praise, the dark elf who was power-hungry but yearned for the sun. His desire to seize power was nothing more than a yearning for life on the ground, in the sun!

Only, unbeknownst to him, Byron had his own struggles!
