As Marianne and the crown prince finishes their meal, they remember the reason they are in Versailles palace - to free Prince Frederick. To avoid arousing suspicion, Marianne would need to keep a low profile and explore the palace on his own.
Marianne wanders the palace, searching for any sign of the prison quarters where Prince Frederick is being held. She tries to look inconspicuous as she walks the halls, hoping to avoid drawing attention to herself.
However, her luck run out when she is stopped by a palace guard. "What are you doing here?" the guard asks, suspicion evident in his voice.
"Hello, good sirs," Marianne says, nodding respectfully to the guards. She quickly pulls down the sleeves of her shirt to hide the fact that there is no tattoo on her wrist.
The guards frowns and studies her carefully. "You're wearing the uniform of the palace knights," one of them says. "But you don't have the tattoo. Are you trying to impersonate a palace knight?"
