In the Williams family estate, Lady Williams stands in the front hall, and watches everything that is happening around her. Richard is wringing his hands nervously. He heard the sound of footsteps coming down the hall, and her heart begin to race.
"Elder brother," she says to her eh. He stopped in his tracks, a look of confusion on his face.
"What's the matter, Melissa?" he asked, his voice calm and reassuring. But she could tell he was hiding something.
"Did you see the poster around town?" she asked, trying to keep her voice steady. "The Viscountess and Beatrice have been reported missing. If you happen to see them, you must report it at once."
The color drains from her brother's face, and she knows she has struck a nerve.
"What do you mean?" he asks, his voice wavering. "What makes you think I've seen them?"
