As they finish eating in the tavern, they walks the boy to his mother's house. The mother is so grateful after she learnt what happen that day and thanks them profusely. Then, the woman invites them to stay for lunch, but they politely declines.
"We must be on our way," the crown prince says in French. "We have some investigations to do."
The woman looks at him curiously. "What kind of investigations?" she asked.
"I'm afraid I can't tell you," the crown prince said. "It's a matter of the utmost secrecy."
The woman looks disappointed, but she doesn't press the matter further. "I understand," she says with a small smile. "Thank you for the company, and I hope you find what you're looking for."
The crown prince and Marianne says their farewells and and about to leave her house, feeling slightly guilty for being so mysterious. But they know they have to keep their mission a secret, no matter what.
