As the feast comes to a close, the guests begins to make their way out of the palace, climbing into their carriages and heading off into the night. The Walcotts, however, are staying the night, as they live too far away to make the journey home in the dark.
The next morning, the family are called to the king's chambers, where he tells them the exciting news that they are being moved from Southwark to Westminster. The Viscountess is delighted, and Beatrice can't help but beam with pride.
"Your Majesty, this is a great honor," the Viscount says, bowing low. "We are humbled by your generosity and kindness."
"It is the least I can do for your service to the crown," the king replies, his eyes twinkling. "And I know that you will continue to be a great asset to our kingdom."
"We will do our best to live up to your expectations," the Viscountess says, curtsying. "And we thank you again for your generosity."
