Chapter 15 - She finally hit a jackpot.

She walks as fast as she could, her legs faster than any other. What she sees is enough for her to run off. John Miller is not something she can just see and not get scared. Sh knows how much people fear at the mentions of that guy. He is never an easy person.

She finally gets to her mansion by feet with a wraps of meet she didn't finish.

At the front of their mansion, she changes from the rag to her original coat, and she walks inside, with her hands in her back, with still - a disturbed and restless mind.

She enters her room and cannot help but remember Theresa. She really misses her. If not for this older woman, she would have died early in her past life. Despite her granddaughter's scheme, she still care for her.

She starts planning on her father's business.

The thought of building the power loom and cotton gin broods her mind. She is never there when it's established and she doesn't think it will be a success without the founder-

-at the same time, the thought of John miller comes too. In a few months, he is going to be the head of england. The person you cannot even afford to offend. She knows not what makes him get to that level, but he knew he is always treated badly, or has never seen someone who shown him mercy.

Maybe she should have told him who she is, but at the same time, what if he has always been on the evil side. She dare not leak her identity and become the prey to the headless duke.

She is so curious about so many things but she will have to get closer to him, and know who he works for.

Her door is knocked and she quick closed the journal she holds in the drawer beside her bed.

"Who is that?" She asks. "Come in." She says and few minutes later, the viscountess comes in.

"There is a party we are invited to tomorrow, hope you are done preparing?" She ask, with her shoulder raised up, her eyes roaming around the room, as if she is looking for something.

Marianne looks at her with a sneer.

"I've heard you. I will get ready for the party tomorrow. Maybe my elder sister is finally going to find her husband." She says intentionally hitting on the nail, and she knows it touches and hurts her.

"What did you mean? She is definitely going to get her husband. Do you think we are going to the party because she is in need for an husband, but because we are invited by the Duke of the city of london." The viscountess says, seething her teeth in anger.

Marianne laughs slightly as she watches her leaves her room angrily and hurriedly. Every year, Beatrice is always rejected by the men, but her mother always says to her friends and people that they rejects men because her daughter is too small for marriage.

Marianne muses at the thought of the boys sending her gifts when she is still small, her father have to tell them that she is a boy. That is when she starts having the idea of her being a girl back, and that her father only deprived her of her happiness.

When the Viscountess gets out of her room and slams her door, she brings in back her file.

She need to save the baron first, by getting close to John; also she needs to look for the founder of power loom and Cotton gin, so they can teach her how to make those, and her father benefitting from it.

So at that moment, she determine to go back to that tavern and start the work.
