The trio scanned the devastating scene to find any survivors or wounded, but to their greatest surprise, everyone had died.
"You can see, they did not leave any survivors," Cedric said as he put both hands on his waist. "If you don't mind, I would like to take my leave now."
"You can't even be remorseful. I dare you to take one step away from here," Mia said with a pissed-off face.
Cedric turned to her, surprised. "And who is going to stop me?"
Just before Mia could say another word, her father cut in. "Enough," he said with a serious face. "We are going to dig them a grave and give them a proper burial. They need to be escorted through the passage to meet with our ancestors so their spirits can rest well."
"What? And how many graves are you planning on digging?" Cedric asked curiously.
"Just one big one that will fit," Mia's father replied.
