Chapter 64 - Chapter 64 - Return to the Point of Origin

Of course, if kevin could convince some armed men, the chances of the mission being accomplished, would be greatly increased.

If nothing else, every person with combat power in Raccoon City will be gathered inside a middle school because of a phone call ...

Passing through the vicissitudes of the mysterious Devil's Gate, kevin received a prompt to head to the mission scenario or return to the exclusive space.

"Mission scenario locked, biohazard!"

"Teleportation ... begins!"

As the Guide's icy voice rang out behind him, kevin's body was bathed in a red glow, and the scene in his eyes instantly collapsed and reorganized in less than a second!

The abyss eternal cold blood said like a mirror broken open, instantly reorganized a very different scene!

Sunset, yellowish reddish afterglow spread, a miserable shelling and smoke ravaged forest reflected half a round of residual sun, mutilation, but let a person feel aesthetically a little suffocating!

In the air, there seemed to be an oppressive atmosphere spreading, making people involuntarily speed up their breathing, as if there was a stone pressing on their chest.

In the midst of the setting sun, there was a faint glimmer of blood and darkness that seemed to foretell something unsettling ...

The land that was covered with fallen leaves had burn marks as well as some broken metal and blood.

The smell of smoke wafting through the air, the smell of charred wood constantly burrowed into kevin's nose, reminding him that this place, once upon a time, had experienced a grueling war.

It's the same broadleaf forest that kevin escaped into earlier!

At this moment, what kevin was wearing, was the same casual clothes he wore when he entered the abyss, a translucent energy light screen projected via the ring of the abyss, unfolded in front of kevin's eyes.

"Scene: Resident Evil Realm, Raccoon City!"

"Timeline: fourteen hours after the hive gate reopened."

"Indentured servant status: level four employee of the Umbrella Corporation. (Wanted!)"

"Language translation: abyssal common language."

"Estimated time of Umbrella Corporation nuclear bomb drop: twelve hours from now!"

Above the translucent energy light screen there was a ray of light constantly scanning up and down, seemingly refreshing certain data, and finally, as if it had lost the signal, it quickly shrunk into a point of light in the air and disappeared.

"Is there only twelve hours left?"

kevin frowned slightly.

If we go by the timing, the Umbrella Corporation should have all of Raccoon City on lockdown, and in order to leave the city, we would have to pass through their inspection!

I wonder if these people who escaped the city early are considered survivors and can be counted as kevin's reward ...

Such a thought, kevin dropped it with just a twinkle in his eye.

It was impossible for the Abyss to leave such an obvious loophole for him, just like the extra rewards for killing zombies last time, although the mission requirements were very vague, to obtain the rewards, it had to be fought for and taken by the contracted person with their own strength.

I guess the condition for the completion of this mission is for kevin to escape to a safe area before the nuclear bomb explodes, and the ones who escaped with him and ended up surviving are the survivors described in the mission.

If possible, KEVIN hopes to be able to run into Matthew's mercenary team and Alice and the others again, and then, before the nukes are dropped, to bring together as many of the abandoned armed men in Raccoon City as he can, to form a team large enough to break through the Umbrella Corporation and force their way through the blockade!

This is undoubtedly better than falling into a trap in Umbrella in the original episode.

At least, the initiative was still in their hands!

"What has become of Raccoon City now?"

With a general plan in mind, kevin scanned the surrounding area and quickly spotted the villa public house that the Umbrella Corporation had built to conceal the hive!

This is the closest piece of suburbia to the city center, and it's already certain that the T-virus has spread!

The city center, closest to the hive, has the most foot traffic and the T-virus infection, naturally, is worse!

If you compare it to the movie's plot, at this point, the Umbrella Corporation has not yet abandoned the hard-working Raccoon City, and reinforcements are still being sent in from the rear to assist the police here in clearing out the zombies!

Only, the speed of zombie infection far exceeded their imagination, and the troops sent out were all devoured by the hideous beast of Raccoon City, nowhere to be found!

In the end, it was only when it felt that things were getting out of hand that Umbrella's top brass decided to resort to the risky method of nuclear bombing.

In other words, there are still resistance forces in the center of the city!

Regardless, enough intel from those guys first before kevin can plan further.

Otherwise it's absolutely brain-dead behavior to tuck into a movie plot and go through the motions here.

The Resident Evil realm, because of kevin's previous intervention, has changed drastically!

Although Abyss's quest hints that the plot returns to its original trajectory, it's only the trajectory of the virus starting to spread, so God knows if the original plot still works, and maybe the protagonist, Elise, is no longer in Raccoon City!

KEVIN took out two of Umbrella Corporation's helicopters, and if Matthew and the others took the opportunity to get out of Umbrella's surveillance, there's a good chance that, by now, they've escaped Raccoon City!

As the sun was sinking and the inhumane night was about to fall, an agile figure flashed out from the middle of the bleak woods, quickly blending into the darkness descending on Raccoon City!

Using the villa public house as a reference point, kevin crossed the abandoned and overgrown stone carving field and approached the villa public house known as the old castle of evil spirits.

Because this is the exit of the hive, thousands of zombies have poured out of it, and while the vast majority of them have dispersed throughout Raccoon City, there are still a small number of mobility-impaired zombies that roam the deserted outskirts!

The luxurious and spacious villa had been reduced to an infernal hell at this moment, a scarlet and cruel bloodstain waving to its heart's content, the walls, the floor, everywhere!

Even a cruel trail of blood existed on the high ceiling, trailing straight down to the floor!

kevin was certain that it was never a trace made by a licker!

Inside the villa, kevin stared at the bloodstain on the ceiling with a stony face, his brows furrowed.

Behind them, several mutilated zombie corpses lay noiselessly on the ground, a little bit of coagulated blood seeping out from the wounds.

kevin was already certain that the plot of the Resident Evil realm, had changed drastically!

At least, there was never a type of walker that could climb walls in the original episode!

"Could it be, is it because I knocked over that glass shelf and released the originator virus?"

kevin thought back in his mind, he remembered that at that time, on that glass shelf, there were still quite a few glassware, and no one could be sure that some kind of virus kept in that would not prompt the T-virus to mutate!

"It seems that the difficulty of this mission is even greater than previously estimated!"

kevin's eyes glazed over and he turned away decisively.

Inside the villa's garage, kevin finds an SUV emblazoned with the logo of the Umbrella Corporation.

However, this thing kevin can't drive at all, but it's a randomly placed mountain bike that caught kevin's eye.

Cars, motorcycles and other means of transportation that kevin, who used to be an otaku, had no contact with at all, only knew to ride.

As for the bike, I was able to get it moving because I used to ride it in school.

"Ding!"

The chain locking the bike's tires was sliced right through by the incredibly sharp short sword, and kevin's general inspection showed no problems other than the fact that the gas in the tires had leaked out a bit.

Kevin didn't have time to put air in the tires, but it was barely rideable.

Based on the sensations coming from all parts of his body, kevin instinctively adjusted his position to make the ride more effortless.

If there were professionals at this moment, they would have realized that kevin's posture was already as standard as that of a professional rider in general!

Taking advantage of his transportation, kevin took a less laborious way to follow the direction marked by the abyssal language on the highway, heading straight for the city center!

The highway, at this time, was incredibly empty, not a single car, nor any silhouette, not even a zombie, not the slightest trace!

However, the blood that swept across the eyes from time to time spoke of the disaster that lay beneath this empty silence!
