The Lunatic Cultist felt the world at the edges of his fingertips.
Soon to free a portion of the great lord who's presence was so imposing as to make the very fabric of reality he was standing on to seem flimsy the Lunatic Cultist felt as if his entire being was to be sublimated into a higher form.
"Like how a butterfly evolves to shatter its cocoon to evolve even further, so shall I to, cast off this mortal shell and rise to dimensions never seen before by human means."
A strange language that wasn't like any known language spoken by the beings constrained by their limited knowledge of the third dimension seeped into his ears.
Eyes gleaming a bright blue hue, the silver light seemed to permeate his very being as it corroded the air around it with the power those words contained within them.
Lightning and fire crackling around his hands, the power contained every small lightning spark and fire ember scorched and melted the surrounding area.
Turning more and more into a wasteland by the second, the mer people's royal guard hurriedly implemented measures to prevent their charges from being destroyed.
Sea water swirling around their forearms, large human sized shields that could cover a full human being formed.
But it was for naught.
Because just like how a wild fire couldn't be suppressed by a cup of water, lightning could turn water into gas.
Crackling and boiling the currents that surrounded the guards, they shrieked in pain as the power of the moon lord mentally corroded their minds.
"YAH #@*)!_$)#%*# #(%)(#@ %U}{$ }"
Unrecognizable words that couldn't be formed with the mouth's of people from the third dimension entering their brains and overloading the senses to their extreme cooked their brains.
Causing them to fall over dead, dead in mind, spirit and body instantly.
And it was the numerous chorus of thuds onto the ground that caused the lunatic cultist to be dragged out of his crazed trance/ communication with his God.
Crazed light in his eyes becoming more subdued, the blue light tainted by an almost unholy grey slowly receded back into his body.
Blue cloak returning to its previous unruffled form, the Lunatic Cultist habitually smoothed out the ruffles in his long cloak using the fringes on his metal claws before speaking.
"-How long is it until the chorus can be completed?"
Shaking their heads, the Princess, the same one that had been just at the prison before stepped forwards.
"If before we were on the verge of completion, we are now on the final note."
The Lunatic Cultist paused at that fact before directing his piercing blood red eyes at the princess flanked by two princes.
"-Already? I would think that the final note would take some more time before completion, why is that?"
"Due to the appearance of a few unexpected sacrifices we are now able to form the final note."
"How funny" Slightly halting his words to take in a deep breath the water swirled around the man as the cultist snapped his fingers.
"Violins, trumpets"
"Yes Director"
Appearing out of the blue, two figures quickly kneeled on the prismatic ground while causing the Prince and princess of the merpeople to tense up instinctively.
Feeling their skin crawl with the appearance of two figures who were initially unseen despite constant monitoring by the palace guards, the Lunatic Cultist continued.
"Aid them in the creation of the final note and make sure that we can complete the lord's chorus without interruptions."
"Yes Lord Director."
Man and woman still kneeling the Lunatic Cultist nodded his head before disappearing with a wave of the hand.
And upon noting that the lunatic cultist of the Moon Lords cult had disappeared Violin and Trumpet stood up.
"I am Violin" The woman spoke while flourishing a rapier which she just as quickly sheathed.
"And I am Trumpet" The large burly man cracked his neck as the crows mask adorning his face twisted, allowing a pair of red eyes to glare through.
"We are part of the Director's orchestra and shall be the ones to aid you in the creation of the lord chorus."
"Pleased to meet be your acquaintance miss...?"
"Miss Ellegra of the Atlantean Kingdom, first in line of the throne."
"Miss Ellegra."
Voice tinged with audible amusement, Violin gestured at the bodies laying on the ground devoid of mind and spirit.
Blue and purple light leaving her fingertips and manifesting into strings, something akin to a violin seemed to manifest in place of her hands.
Bringing out the rapier once again, the once silver coated blade now was tinged with a purple light as she drew the strings and strummed to a melody.
A melody strong enough to wake the dead.
Bodies twisting and contorting purple light filled the eyes of the royal guards who were once stalwart guards of the Atlantean kingdom.
Dragging themselves off of the ground, the mermen guards became powerful thralls underneath the command of Violin.
And that wasn't the end of it.
Infiltrating the arrangement of stone surrounding them, the very earth itself shook awake as loud and powerful strikes against stone could be heard all around them.
Thumping against the stonework, rotten and decayed hands pierced out of the walls as bodies resurrected by dark magic peeked through the gaps.
"Let us go complete the final chorus."
Seeing this, Ellegra of the Atlantean kingdom stared at the once loyal royal guards with a nonchalant expression/
"Very well then Miss Violin, please follow us."
Bowing to the tall hulking man named trumpet, the princess turned around and led the two figures out of the royal mausoleum where the bodies of royalty were gathered.
Dragging their rotten and decadent bodies out of the royal palace, a congregation of sea life slowly gathered around them as they moved towards the one reason why they worked so hard.
The Sacrificial song that would serve to wake the great being of the deep.
The God that all Mermen worshipped.
Cthulhu's Astral Body.

Tossing and turning in my tiny little alcove that was barely able to acomodate my body, I felt itchy all over.
And it wasn't the type of itchiness that would go away with the aid of a few scratches.
No, this was one of the annoying as hell itches that were located underneath the skin and far away from the scratching tool that was the nails.
'God I want to dig into my skin so badly.'
Feeling the subtle pricks of pins caress my body from head to toe, I wasn't comfortable in the slightest
Tossing and turning, the pirate lounging about on the side in a drunken daze suddenly spoke up ominously.
"It's time"
Staring ahead with his one functioning eye, the brown eyes seemed to carry a flame in them as they were fed alcohol.
Scratching his chin in the watery prison that was the place we were in, a coalition of mer people guards slowly appeared in front of us while dragging forth several others.
In this case, the ones that were being dragged forth were people that I foggily remember as the ones who were on the ship that the pirate man was on.
Crewmates perhaps?
'But what the hell do you mean by it's time you fucking bastard? This isn't a shounen jump anime for crying out loud.'
Feeling as if I should strangle the man laying behind me for answers, I was instead bereft of gravity as I was being dragged by the mermen unsightly on the ground
And I know that I would very much like to tear apart their throats but at least grant me the decency to stand up you bastards.
Strengthening the very possible will of tearing apart these guys with the assortment of weapons in my inventory, I twirled around the currents.
Being dragged on the ground, the star fish that were lighting up the underground cave sky slowly followed us allowing me to recognize what the so called stars in the sky were.
And do you know about anglerfish? The large predatory fish that use giant bulbs of light to attract prey?
Well think that except they were so large that the bulbs they were carrying around with them could act as stars.
Tracing my eyes across the dead unseeing and cloudy eyes of the angler fish and the many thread like teeth that were pentuple the size of my body I felt my eyes twitch.
'Yeah... I think I might have to kill as many as these mermen as I can before forfeiting my life.'
Because in the darkness beyond the light of the anglerfish, I caught sight of several other writhing figures hidden in the swirling darkness.
'The sea is terrifying place'
Thinking about that fact, the merpeople who lived in this terrifying part of the sea soon brought me to what I would call the city of atlantis.
A place of immense beauty if not for the personalities of the beings residing here.
