Chapter 159 - Guns and bullets

Pulling away from the base of the tail I thrust my hand forwards to the Elder Guardian and instantly activated the amulet of frozen flame.

Since it ran on blood just like the other two powers that froze things and burnt things when exposed to blood I activated it through my hand.

And since the price was just making my hand itch unbearably hard in return for burning/ freezing the blood of the Elder Guardian I would say that the price was an incredibly fair one.

Although the blood cloud surrounding me from the wound spewing out blood was a pure negative.

Feeling my skin get burnt from the ice covering my lower body. I kicked away and charged away and looked at my bare legs.

Staring at my legs which had gained second degree burns which were trying to develop into third degree burns, I glanced at the Elder Guardian right before I doubled down on the punishment.

Bringing out the Impaler I twisted my body around so that I was now parallel to the Guardian, Kicking several times I propelled myself forwards where I spun about in a corkscrew

And just like how a screw penetrated a board I cut through the flesh of the Elder Guardian which wa by now twitching like mad.

*WHOOSH

'HOLY'

Feeling my arm nearly leave its socket due to the abrupt movement which nearly ripped apart my not so fleshy arm the impaler cut deep into the pink flesh of the Elder Guardian as more and more blood leaked out of it.

By now, the power of the frozen flame had crawled its way through the body of the Elder Guardian crystallizing the blood from the tip of the wound.

Balancing myself on its body, the vision of the Elder Guardian brought itself to my face again as it forcibly slowed my movements.

But seeing as how it wasn't as bad as before it goes to show how weak it had gotten.

Very close to death I must say.

And as I twisted around on the round surface of the elder guardian all the while its eye started to get more and more bloodshot I pushed the head of the Impaler deeper into the body of the Elder Guardian.

Getting dead set on providing this aquatic monster first hand treatment to the disease of the cold Hyperthermia I had to sadly release my grip on the handle of the weapon due to... avoidable circumstances.

'!'

Bubbles leaving my mouth I whipped around in surprise as bullets whizzed past my face and scratched my ear creating a jet of blood.

'What the hell dude.'

Angrily glaring at the pirate who was firing a hail of bullets at my position I snapped back to the body of the Guardian as I felt an eery premonition and planted my two feet firmly on its exterior right before I pushed away.

And I was right.

Blood from my ear mixing with the blood of the Elder Guardian it quickly froze over as it tried to move towards the source.

Thankfully the existence of ocean currents played a part in this other wise the magically affeted blood would trail its way back to me.

Anyways.

Glaring at the Pirate the pirate man stared back at me with incredibly angry eyes right before they pointed the shark gun right at me

Staring down the barrel of the gun a startling gleam exiting the barrel of the gun caused me to jolt my body to the side witht he help of the Shield Charge.

And thankfully I did as just a few seconds after several trails of bubbles went by and carvedseveral new holes in the body of the Guardian that had snuck up onto me.

'What the Hell? Oh it's personal now.'

'I really thought that since we're both humans we would get along just fine, but now you're turning on me huh?'

Glaring at the Pirate, I curled up right before I kicked at the water surface breaking through the water tension holding me back.

'But first I need some air because good God my lungs hurt.'

The mind of Gunpowder Garry was a simple one.

If ordered into a list of importance it would be as follows.

1. Booze

2. Things that have Booze.

3. Money to buy booze.

4. A ship to get money to but booze.

5. A crew to pilot the ship to get the money to buy the booze.

In essence it was all things that were drunk from the mouth to addle the mind.

And right now, much to the dismay of Slade who had just impaled the body of the Elder Guardian right before cursing it with Hypothermia Gunpowder Garry had marked Slade as an enemy.

The reasons were as follows.

Because he had touched his booze.

And because he was in the general vicinity of the Ocean Monument he was going to get ready to loot, Gunpowder Garry's booze powered brain instantly marked him as an enemy.

A not so smart decision which would've been immediately stopped by the First Mate had he gotten the chance, but it was no use since he was in the middle of keeping the cannon fodder busy.

Not that the captain would've been able to listen twenty meters in the sea where sound had a hard time traveling.

So in favor of staying true to his namesake, Gunpowder Garry did what gunpowder garry did best.

Use gunpowder.

Metal shells being consumed in real time as the gunpowder ignited and proppeled the barrels forwards, the superpowered shells that had been enchanted to ignore water resistance easily slid through the water as they had no problems digging into their targets.

But right now they were meeting their match.

Having had no problems in digging a few inches into the sea bed from long distance, the bullets could do nothing more than collide restlessly and uselessly against the large flat hunk of steel that was quickly sinking.

That said hunk of steel just as quickly disappeared from sight and was folded into the fourth dimension where a blood sword propelled by blue flames travelled closer and closer to the Captain who was furiously reloading.

'GRRRR... STAY AWAY FROM MY TREASURE!!!!'

Firing pellets of steel with his sub arm that was nothing more than a normal flintlock, the wooden stock had no problems clicking its gears together as the mass of metal pellets flew out of the barrel,

Whistling through the water the ocean waters were parted slightly by the currents.

Gills opening and closing from the sides of his neck, Gunpowder Garry nearly had an aneurysm as he continually fired bullets gathered in his fourth dimensional pocket.

Twisting in the water Garry felt his back collide harshly against a rough rocky surface that was by all means unnatural.

Because from his previous experiences, rough rocky pebbles would always hae sharp parts attached to them which would dig into his leather lined back.

Something that didn't happen here leading him to believe that he had finally found the thing he was looking for.

The ancient ocean monument of the Atlanteans which was rumored to contain the ancient treasure of the magical civilization now claimed by the oceanic waters.

To bad that Gunpowder Garry wasn't able to appreciate the fact that he had just found an ancient civilization because he was being chased by a very angry vengeful warrior wielding a sword and using witchcraft of unknown origin.

Not that he even knew what it was that he was inevitably awakening as he continued to retreat from the man called Slade using his bullets to carve deep gashes into the ancient monument.
