Chapter 141 - Greetings from the other side

"Woo!" Feeling the grin that had been plastered onto my face, the sea of flame blossomed below me even as I felt my malaise reserves dropping unceasingly.

If anything however, I still had alot in the tank as I didn't overload my bow and arrow with excessive malaise this time.

It was honestly impressive how I went from exploding a boss monster to nothing more than dust and blood with an excessive blast of malaise to consuming a desert boss in more controlled bursts of malaise.

Of course, it wasn't a fair comparison as I could sense that the desert scourges were nothing more than slightly stronger elite ticks and were much weaker than the boss monster Mama Tick.

But if what I learned about the malaise had anything to do with it, then it made sense as the mama tick and the elite ticks were nothing more than super empowered monsters.

Given that the malaise made things incredibly violent with their affinity for violent strength, I would also say that Mama Tick was able to take around fifty of the desert scourges.

And that's without including the army of ticks and those weird worshipping guys being included in the fray.

If they were added, then I would guess that unless a thousand of them come, then they are absolutely fucked.

But in essence of all things, despite the field of flowers blossoming from the flames with tendrils of blaze coming up, the Desert Scourges are around I would say high B rank.

And if I recall correctly, I think B rank was the minimum power level a boss monster could be.

Trembling in my inventory, I shook my head to rid myself of those thoughts before taking out Riley as I fell from the ground.

'Well let's-

CRACK

'-Crack?'

Eyes widening, I glanced down at my legs and tried to feel them up before seeing the actual source of the cracking noise.

Now, due to my memories of playing minecraft when I was nothing more than a child, I had learnt that glass was made out of sand.

And I think the flames that I had manifested with the help of the malaise definitely played a part in it.

And before I knew it, the battle in the skies had already ended with the king who's face I hadn't seen yet and the unknown creature manipulating the stormy skies to their liking.

Rays of sunlight pierced through the thick covering of clouds hovering about over the land as the dark storm clouds dispersed.

Without the control of the Storm Terror who's form was roughly in the shape of a strange multi winged and segmented insect, the clouds found no use in congregating.

Floating down from the sky like some sort of God of fire, the winged phoenix slowly receded to reveal the scorched armor of the red knight in all of its burnt glory.

He literally appeared to be coal with how scorched his armor looked.

And if I didn't know better and hadn't just seen him move towards us, then even if you told me that someone was alive underneath that hunk of steel then I would've believed you.

But nevertheless, getting rid of the scorched armor with quick and fluid movements, I realised that this man was definitely used to such situations.

But why was he walking towards me?

With various servants trailing behind him to pick up the scorched black pieces of metal and replacing them with red ones, I watched as the man somehow replaced a majority of the blackened steel with redder ones.

Even the chestplate was shining as if brand new since it was.

That only left the blackened helmet left as he neared me.

And upon taking it off, I could finally appreciate his features.

And I must admit, he was quiet handsome.

With a grizzled beard and long locks of red hair, the man looked incredibly similar to the prince and princess save for the black hair I suspect is the result of fire.

Replacing the helmet, the man didn't put it on immediately like the other pieces of armor and instead stared at me.

And stared at me he did.

With a penetrating gaze that was remeniscient of my parents staring at me with incredible disappointment or something similar.

Instead of looking away like I expected to, I held the gaze much to my own surprise.

But if I thought about it a bit more.

Maybe that was why I wasn't afraid or at the least awkward with that straight gaze carrying some sort of will.

Grabbing my hands violently, I awkwardly and belatedly realized that my body has seemed to have become even more inhuman than before seeing as my joints started acting like well lubricated puppet arms.

Luckily no one seemed to notice anything underneath the thick blanket of sand and grime covering my body.

I never thought there would come the day that I was grateful for being covered in blood from head to toe.

So, slightly self conscious of my arms that were all the more porcelain like in nature, I was completely caught off guard by the following words that the man in front of me spewed out.

"Join me."

"What"

---

In the far lands far west of the ancient Rosetta Kingdom with a long lineage dating back to the times of old where guns were considered a myth and bows were the mainly used ranged weapon.

A purple portal with a black obsidian like frame stood silently, the purple swirls menacingly spewing out an unbearable heat that was both familiar and unfamiliar to the inhabitants of the desert sands.

And in the night when ice was prominent to be found in the deserts, the portal spewed out constant gouts of flame that manifested itself as ripples in the air.

Joining the near unbearable heat however which worked in sync with the heat of the desert during the shining golden day.

Was a red plague.

Like some sort of virus, dry red stones with a crusted appearance crept out of the portal and spread to the lands around it.

Spontaneously combusting from the combination of noxious gases released by the strange red rocks, when lit up, the rocks never seemed to die down as the flames lingered for days on end without any end in sight.

And if someone were to dive into the purple portal spewing out red flame in the middle of the desert, they would find a terrible force working behind it.

Working with the flames spewed out by round orbs surrounded by blaze rods, large burly pig men with pink skin slammed their blackstone hammers against the golden stone.

Plunging their bare fists into buckets of lava with a stone sword coated in gold, armaments of all kinds were being forged in unison by a production line.

Grabbing the black stones carried over by a large pig with sharp tusks, a large blade of stone clashed against a golden axe.

Clashing against each other in a pit built out of the bones of some unknown and ancient beast, a tall three meter tall black skeleton soundlessly roared as their black blade slammed into the pig mans gold one.

Covered in black leather scorched from the flames all so prominent in the flaming hellscape, lava bubbled around them as they spun around in a flurry of motion.

And overwatching all of this from the top of a tall castle embedded and built into the side of the thick red virus protruding everywhere in the wasteland.

Splashing against the black stone spires naturally protruding before the massive behemoth of a castle, the legion of death was a rare visitor to the kingdom of fire.

So rare that a council containing all of the Nether's force was arranged as sharp gazes were thrown around the room simultaneously due to the nature of the council meeting.

On the round table arranged by the Piglin King, there were various other powers of the Nether.

Besides the Piglin's who were the most numerous in number.

There were the Undead Corps leader, the Wither King that worshipped the epitome of decay the wither.

Flanked by strong armed zombified Piglin Brutes and three meter tall wither skeletons, they weren't even the tallest ones there.

Directly to the left of the Wither King was the Blaze Queen, the leader of hell fire and the Queen of fire rested while flanked by three orbs of rotating flame.

To the right of the Piglin King as well was also the final grand power of the Nether that instead of being confined to the Nether like the rest of them here was the Ender .

Following the Ender lord was a relatively small retinue of ender warriors wielding nothing but there fists.

But to the Superpowers of the Nether, they were still not to be underestimated despite their small number as their space warping powers were enough to worry about.

No one wants a trained elite to suddenly just appear in their kingdom without warning.

So now that all four powers of the Nether had gathered together save for the lesser rebel groups working against them, the Piglin King slammed his palms against the table.

"I trust you understand why we have gathered here today correct?"

Speaking with a gruff voice relative to the Piglins, the table opened up in the center as the ancient clockwork components plundered from the outer world did their magic.

Slowly manifesting a blue ray of light unfamiliar to those who resided in the red nether for all their life, an image of the world slowly unfolded before them.

Or more particularly, an image of golden sands, forests, mountains and the wide blue sea unfolded.

Pointing at the image in the middle of the table, with a rough voice he shouted.

"Today marks the day that we return to the overworld and claim what it is that we have been denied for so long."

"Today marks the day we begin our invasion."
