Chapter 126 - Underneath the earth

"DIE PLEASE"

Freezing the exterior of the Eater of worlds, I helplessly watched as the worm quickly shed off the affected parts and literally split into another eater of worlds.

What in the absolute hell is this creature.

Not following any logic, it seemed as if the eater of worlds has an entire brain stuffed into each segment of its body.

It was probably in that absurdly creepy green eye of its now that I think about it.

Twisting through the air, the ram rune quickly dragged me out of the way of a pair of jaws.

The problem was that the saying out of the frying pan and into the fire was very fitting currently.

Another pair of jaws quickly closed in on me as the increasingly fast eater of worlds continued to bore holes all over the place.

It was oh so chaotic trying to look for the tell tale shaking earth which announced the path of the Eater of worlds, and with literal seconds to react all the while the earth underneath us continued to shake, it was no wonder I couldn't react.

Bracing to get swallowed again, roots fell from the ceiling and forcibly wrapped the monster up.

"Well thank you but HUP!"

I flipped over the head of a flying Eater of Worlds all the while embedding an assassins dagger into its eye.

SCREEeeech---

"We need to get out of here!"

"Ok!"

Nodding her head the green mage waved her hands causing the plants to move away and reveal a hole that an eater of worlds was currently stuck in.

"Not that way!"

Closing it up, another hole opened up in the earth revealing a straight path to the dark skies.

"Follow me!"

"Okay!"

Turning around and raising my hands, I mentally thanked thhe lord that I learnt mana manipulation from the queen and instantly sent mana into the gloves containing the ice shards.

Unleashing a torrential rain onto the Eater of worlds, they were frozen into twisting and turning sstatues of ice, as if beasts locked away forever in an eternal slumber re enacting their last moments.

They weren't actually locked away however.

Breaking out of the ice and splitting into more of those god damned worms, I ran.

Seeing that for some reason that the green dryad wasn't even trying to run, I grabbed her by the waist and made haste to the surface world.

Steps slamming into the hard earth I quickly ran, she was surprisingly light as well however.

Taking care to not harm the package in my care, I spun around and quickly stopped when an eater of worlds quickly tried to devour us right in front of my eyes.

Locking at the wall of flesh in front of us and the quickly approaching ones behind us, without hesitation a large pickaxe appeared in my hands.

Its been a while since I resorted to mining, but it didn't hurt to pick it up again.

Especially when literal death machines were heading our way.

Abandoning the large hole that could barely fit me and the plant mage side by side, I turned her around and with swift movements, used the spider threads I had aqcuired for some time now but didn't have the time to use.

"Don't mind me, just have to quickly go this way!"

Tying her to my back, my eyes quickly were infused with mana as several vibrations continuously moved in my eyes.

Holding the wooden shaft with both hands, my arms moved all the while my feet continued to run.

Breaking through the stone walls with quick movements that didn't speak at all about the speed I was able to mine through things.

I realised a few things before placing my crafting table down.

Following that, by making my arms and hands face extreme pain, several pickaxes were instantly crafted.

In good time to since the I would've joined the crafting table in being swallowed by the Eater of worlds.

Running forwards, the earth shook intensely before it split apart revealing the maw of a large Worm heading towards us.

Slamming my pickaxe into the earth, although the pickaxe instantly broke apart, it did the job as it destroyed several blocks in a single swipe.

Carving out a perfectly cubic shaped hole that was definitely able to accommodate two people, I ran forwards.

Digging upwards, I ignored everything around me as two heavy weights rested on my back.

'I had no choice okay?'

Pickaxe obliterated to allow me to run upwards again, the Eater of worlds continued to snake towards us with mouths wide open and filled to the brim with bone white teeth capable of grinding down stone.

I wouldn't like to be at the ends of them.

Throwing a gravity grenade combined with an ice and fire grenade behind us.

The Monsters were both pulled to the area behind us right before a mixture of ice and fire quickly froze and burnt the worms and turned them into exploded chunks of meat.

'God my arms and back hurt.'

Feeling like my arms would fall out of their sockets, I swung the pickaxes one last time, infusing it with a bit of the spatial slicer technique.

And although it wasn't as potent, it got the job done by breaking through the stone.

Using the second last pickaxe my eyes widened with happiness as right in front of us, the place I wanted to go to was just ahead.

A hole to the surface.

But why is it that there's water coming down it?

And why the hell is there a shark!?

---

"Old Man... What the hell are you?"

Staring at the gigantic skeleton that had just appeared out of the man's body in proportions that shouldn't have been possible.

Guillian's green reptilian eyes gleamed, Rubbing his claws together, instead of being afraid of the strange being that suddenly came out of the old man's back.

He was instead excited.

"Ooooh I wonder how does that work!"

And of course, much like a child that was opening a present on christmas, Guillian smiled.

"It seems to have something with space manipulation, so is that skeleton something that's a part of his abilities or is it something that is part of his power? He also chanted something and called out that skeleton called Skeletron his master--"

Rambling onto himself with gleaming eyes, much like the other warriors of the malaise, it was absolutely no problem to continue being a killing machine.

While one half of his brain was preoccupied with understanding the principle behind the appearance of Skeletron, the other half...

The kebab'd sharks were the results.

Eye gleaming, he excitedly jumped up and down as his mouth continued to run like a motor, trying to articulate what the principles of the warping skeletron performed.

But as his speed of talking rose in lieu with his excitement, something happened that somehow stopped him from talking.

Bursting out of the ground, an incredibly large worm that was beyond large appeared.

Perhaps it couldn't fully reach the size of Mama Tick's full body which already spanned Fourty Guillians wide, but it was definitely longer.

Rising to the sky, an ear piercing screech filled the air as the multitude of green eyes glared down.

Bone yellow jaws clacking against each other, the wide maw of the Eater of worlds appeared in the visions of the many.

And that wasn't the end of it either.

Announcing their arrival with a growl running through the ground and a distinct trembling of the ground, the rocks vibrated against the surface before it blew up.

Rising up like pillars to the sky, carbon copies of the gigantic worms suddenly appeared all across the already chaotic battlefield.

And with the addition of another boss that was connected to the battle, it was a combination of three different things.

Taking to the skies, Skeletron balled its fist and punched the hungry Overlord of the Seas back into the sea all the while the Eater of Worlds continued to burst out of the ground with rage.

Coming out in varying lengths, it was a wonder that the geography of the sea hadn't been cha-

RUMBLE CRASH!

Looking at several trees be swept away with Skeletron grasping a gigantic worm and swinging it around, Guillian mentally corrected himself as he quickly made his way out of the battlefield.

There were no second chances here, there was no time loop to fall back on here.

But it was exactly because of that, that Guillian felt strange.

Feeling his tiny heart try and escape his rib cage all the while his arms continued to swing his harpoon, Guillian felt confused.

'What is this feeling?'

Of course, far away into the distance, accompanying him in the confusion was the corrupted Seer.

"What in the Corruption is happening here?"

---

The Corrupted Seer could do nothing but stare at the corrupted mass of flesh that was the Eater of Worlds that was battling not one but two different bosses.

One from the sea and the other from the sky.

Watching a spout of water come out of the sea and a shark octopus hybrid crawl onto land with layers of serrated teeth, the sea was stirred up as large waves filled with sharks continued to crash onto the shores.

Slamming into a singular eater of worlds, its tentacles continued to drag the worm down its massive gullet, all the while its teeth tore the monster apart.

Following that Skeletron ripped apart the Eater of Worlds in its hand.

Smashing its skull downwards, the cone white canines bit into the corrupted flesh and ripped a large chunk out of it.

Splitting in half, one would expect any other creature to simply die then and there.

But no.

The Eater of worlds wasn't as simple as that.

Sensing danger, the body parts of Skeletron jettisoned more blood out of their ends right before the reformed pieces of flesh formed two different creatures.

As the two gigantic worms thrashed against Skeletron's skeletal frame, the Overlord of the Seas which didn't have the benefit of being in the sky was being assaulted from all sides.

Bursting out of the ground, they wrapped around the large body, pinning the sea lifes body to the ground all the while sharks continued to rip and tear into its flesh.

Tentacles whipping around, the corrupted Seer could only stare at the chaos that this was.

Breaking through the ground.

Smashing open the seas and ripping out the trees.

The very geography of the area was completely changed all the while the monsters that went beyond logic fought.

Seeing such an absrud sight.

The Corrupted Seer fell to his knees as his purple eyes gleamed strangely in the darkness of the night.

Staring at it all he couldn't help but wonder.

'What was it all for?'

As the ferocity of the Eater of Worlds was completely show cased to him, two figures, one atop the other appeared out of a hole in the ground.
