Ignoring the change in the monsters momentum, I continued my incredibly reckless charge into the horde of monsters.
Diving into the blender of flesh, blood and steel.
Grabbing several blocks from my inventory and throwing them.
The blocks of stone, wood and even more stone grew to their original cubic 1 by 1 by 1 meter sizes and instantly were pulled down by the chains of gravity.
Falling amongst the fleshy whirlwind.
I couldn't even pay attention to the after effects of my decision to use my blocks as weapons.
All I needed to know was that it was effective.
Throwing even more stone blocks into the air and crushing and indeterminate number of monsters.
At the back of my mind which was allocated to prevent any situations like the event in the corrupted lands.
I saw a spear whistle through the air at the edges of my vision, barreling straight towards my forehead and drilling through whatever unfortunate obstacles was in their way.
Good thing I noticed before the spear reached my head.
Ducking underneath the trajectory of the spear.
The polearm barreled through the air and gave me a devastating whiplash all the while it broke through whatever monsters were in front of it.
Seeing the absolute force of the spear, a second, even more powerful whiplash from behind caught me off guard and nearly sent me flying.
Quickly steadying myself, a loud explosion briefly exploded into my ears and caused my head to ring with the distinctive sound of tinnitus.
Following the path cleared by the thrown spear, I trailed it all the way back to where the figure who was most likely controlling it all was located.
A silver knight with a large gaping black wound around their abdomen was standing at the source of it all.
Glaring at me with an incredibly angry orange gaze, the silver knight pulled their arm back.
And in one swift motion, the spear trembled from its place on a zombies corpse and returned much like a certain Thunder Gods hammer.
Staring at the silver knight, I noted the appearance of another variable that most likely would've taken off my head if I didn't learn from my past mistakes.
Now noting down an external force, I continued to do what I was still doing.
Because what else could I do either way?
Attack him?
To do that, I would need to still pass through the horde of monsters I was still passing through either way to reach that bandaged figure otherwise most attacks would just be lost into the horde of flesh.
In fact, the best I could do was make sure to not get overwhelmed by the encroaching whirlwind of flesh.
Stomping straight through a skull and sending the bone fragments hurtling at the monsters behind, I noted that I was slowly gaining battle proficiency.
It was rather hard not to do so with so many enemies around me actually.
Throwing the accumulation of flesh in my inventory to slow down the spear.
I rolled out of the way and moved the crafting table to another place.
Crushing a few enemies with an anvil.
I dropped the equivalent to a house onto a gigantified slasher.
The tiny metal sword doing the equivalent to a toothpicks worth of damage to the stone.
A very sharp toothpick but they didn't need to know that.
Spinning through the air, I became a whirlwind of steel, wood, flesh, stone, bone and literally anything else I could get my hands on.
Using my powers to the fullest.
I quickly though up of new ways to utilise my powers to survive this ordeal.
Although at the back of my mind I wondered why I did this.
I threw that thought away and ripped the exploding rocks off the back of a disgusting worm and threw it into the crowd.
Using the myriad of explosions rocking through the crowd.
I crushed another inferno spirit with tons of flesh having run out of stone.
Bow letting loose several arrows, they pinned enemies down with their sharp tips and allowed me a few precious gaps to sink the daggers teeth into them.
Taking the Slashers sword, wind blades were sent flying through the crowd.
Barely dodging the spear throw, I quickly realized one thing.
I couldn't push back the horde to a certain point.
Sweat barreling off my back in torrents of effort.
Many a sword was destroyed in my battle and I was usually found without a weapon.
This meant I had to use whatever I could get my hands on.
This had the added effects of making sure I had to struggle to even go forwards by even a single step, only to backtrack by five due to the silver knights spear.
If things didn't change, I'm pretty sure thatt I would slip up soon and die in the horde of monsters, being torn bit by bit.
Sweat barreling off my head.
A strange shine seemed to shine in my head.
Falling into a similar trance to what I had experienced in my early days, it was instead appearing in front of me in a battle where thousands of variables constantly rose unlike when I was in the caves.
With blue light appearing around me mixed in with tinges of orange, the very air around me seemed to be set alight.
Grabbing those flames, I dragged at the blue sparks and felt the runes etched onto my body tremble in response.

Calliope fell from the skies, glad in her white battle guard and still wearing the golden mask associated with the royal servants that led the royal bodyguards.
Bringing out her soul weapons which took the form of two giant heavy spiked balls.
She swung the chains attached to them and sent the spiked balls behind her careening straight towards the horde of monsters.
Feeling the light resistance to the heavy weapons followed by the heavy resistance in the form of earth, Calliope set out to help the Stilt Village survivors in doing what they did best.
Surviving.
Flicking her wrist, the heavy spiked balls flew all over the place, following an arc that was as far as the chains allowed.
And after a small bit of doing it, Calliope noticed one thing which confused her.
'Wasn't there a much higher number of monsters before?'
When seeing the swaths of monsters that climbed all over the fallen village and perforated through every single crack that the village had, no sign of land being visible through the throng of monsters.
She had thought that even if the Survivors were hardened warriors this was a bit to much for them.
It was literally over kill as an army of monsters rode on the waves of malaise and attacked the small camp of survivors.
And although the survivors would be able to take down several dozens of monsters down with them, it was nothing but a drop in the bucket when compared to the actual size of the horde.
So why?
Why were the swaths of monsters that should've made sure that nothing, but monsters could be seen for as far as the eye can see?
Slamming the two giant spiked balls to the ground, she created a shockwave that turned the monsters around her into bloody chunks of flesh.
Spinning around, she noted that the monsters were definitely thinned out since the gap wasn't immediately recovered by monsters.
And unknown to her.
Many inhabitants were having the same question.
