Chapter 83: Reluctantly Acknowledging Her as Aunt

When the community of "White Album" enthusiasts was gradually forming, Yuta continued to ponder over the problem with his design plans.

The system required a sidecar motorcycle, and Yuta could easily make a regular motorcycle and attach a passenger seat.

However, merely completing the task for the sake of completion wasn't Yuta's intention.

What Yuta wanted was a safe and convenient vehicle that could be used to drop off and pick up Hina from school. This meant considering a lot of factors during the design process.

After sending Hina to kindergarten in the morning, Yuta headed to the university.

Sasha also had work related to costume design, so she wasn't always at home.

Upon entering the university today, Yuta could clearly feel that many people were looking at him.

"It's because of yesterday's incident..." Yuta knew that the matter between him and Oda Raika had caught the attention of other curious people.

Raika was one of the three great beauties of the academy and had not had interactions with boys before. With the current situation changed, others were naturally very interested.

However, precisely because Yuta and Raika had become affiliated, people began to distance themselves from Yuta as well.

Yuta felt quite pleased about this. After checking the schedule and realizing he only had one class today, he headed toward that classroom.

"Ugh, it's Literature History..."

Today's subject for Yuta was Japanese Literature History, and the lecture was delivered by one of the academy's three beauties, Kaoruko Fujiwara.

"Speaking of which, who came up with the three beauty rankings?" Yuta pondered, recalling that there had been such rumors since he entered the university.

Such trivial interests were of no concern to Yuta. He wasn't interested in girls with eccentric temperaments, finding them difficult to interact with.

The reason he preferred older women was because they were more nurturing and considerate!

Of course, they also had an advantage in physique.

Yuta planned to continue sketching his design plans during class, as he wasn't interested in literature history. Such material typically becomes forgettable after graduation, with its retention dictated by one's memory speed.

However, upon entering the lecture hall, Yuta was taken aback by the sheer number of people present.

In other classes, there were only a few students, but it seemed they all gathered for this particular lecture. The number of students in this classroom was almost like the attendance on the first day of school, or perhaps even more!

Some people without seats were standing on the side, while others had brought their own folding stools and phones!

Phones?

Seeing those phones set up as if ready to take pictures, Yuta understood just how idle these people were. They were willing to waste an entire day just to catch a glimpse of a beautiful woman.

Back in the day, when Yuta was attending university in his home country, he was constantly shuttling between the library, dorm, and classroom, focusing on his studies. He never had time to chase after pretty girls.

Yuta was puzzled about when Kaoruko's allure had grown so dramatically. In the past, even if there were many students, it was enough to keep them in class without skipping. But now, many students who didn't even have this class had skipped their own to attend her lecture!

After spotting two girls sitting in the front row, he understood why—these two were just too conspicuous!

There was a clear gap in the seating area at the front, with a section of empty seats between two strikingly beautiful girls sitting on opposite ends of a row, separated by three vacant seats.

Was the top science beauty, Mishima Sayoko, coming to the humanities to stir things up?

This was Yuta's initial thought, but he quickly dismissed it. Compared to Raika, Sayoko didn't match up in either style or beauty, and even if a conflict arose, Raika would likely come out on top.

Raika could sense Sayoko's hostility and understood why she was acting this way, but couldn't fathom her reasoning.

"Just because I got closer to Yuta, she comes over to make a scene and grab attention? Why would she think like that?" Raika wondered.

"Yuta, over here." Seeing that Yuta was about to head to the back, Raika called out to him.

Yuta wasn't naïve; he just preferred avoiding unnecessary trouble.

However, even if he didn't seek trouble, it would find him.

Sayoko watched Yuta. From a closer distance today, she noticed that Yuta actually had quite a pleasing appearance.

Although she valued looks, Sayoko was more concerned with her own affairs. At this moment, she just thought that establishing a favorable relationship with someone who looked good could make things a bit easier for her, maybe even snatch Raika's boyfriend!

After Raika greeted Yuta, Sayoko also smiled at him and said sincerely, "Yuta-kun, there's a seat here. Would you like to come and study together? I have lots of things I don't understand and could really use some help."

Well, you've picked the wrong person. I wasn't planning on paying attention to this class.

After considering it, Yuta decided to go over since this situation was unavoidable.

Though he hadn't interacted with her before, Yuta had heard about Sayoko. She was a typical wealthy heiress, even more girlish than Aoi.

In other words, prone to finding trouble, spoiled, and arrogant!

When Yuta walked over, he sat in the middle seat, leaving just one seat between him and each of the two beauties.

After sitting down, Yuta naturally said to Raika, "Raika-neesan, if Cousin Fujiwara asks me a question later, please help remind me. I'm not very good in this subject."

Yuta had reluctantly acknowledged Kaoruko as his cousin, but only in terms of how he addressed her.

Upon hearing Yuta's comment, Sayoko shifted over one seat to sit directly next to him. "Yuta-kun, are you and Oda relatives?"

"Yeah, we're distantly related," Yuta explained.

Indeed, their familial ties were very distant—so distant that their exact connection was unknown.

However, a few thousand years ago, they might have been related, as the population of this island nation wasn't that large, resulting in some level of familial connection among its people.

Raika didn't bother to explain anything further; there was no need. Yuta's approach effectively prevented Sayoko from continuing to disrupt them.

At that moment, Kaoruko entered the room with her lecture notes.

In terms of presence, Kaoruko far outmatched the girls in the classroom. Her entrance immediately silenced what little noise there had been.

"Turn off your phones, or leave. Photos taken without my consent can be your consolation prize for failing."

Kaoruko scanned the room with a chilly gaze before briskly walking to the lectern and looking down at her wristwatch.

Raika dutifully took out her phone and shut it off, as did Sayoko, Yuta, and the other students in the classroom.

During her lectures, Kaoruko's presence was even more imposing than usual, making it difficult for Yuta to reconcile this commanding figure with the woman who once flirted with him.
